I did what I call an Australian mount (mounted it to the front of my grille guard bumper tube) for my Ham radio antenna. It worked absolutely perfectly, the angle allowed me to easily route the wires from the front of a Chevy Colorado to the interior. I was not able to locate one with the end that screws off, so be aware you may need to cut the PL-259 off and install a new one once the cable has been wired into the truck. Otherwise you are going to need a large hole to run the PL-259 end into the cab of your vehicle. Would recommend. Con:The PL-259 connector is not the type that unscrews for running the cable through cabs, walls etc .. requires a large enough hole to get the entire connector through or cutting off the factory connector. ... show more

After installing this, I noticed a significant amount of signal drop. I needed to extend the run for a magmount and this caused more issues. This could be reduced if you're mounting an antenna directly to it, but as an extension it isn't very good. I ran some lmr240 under my car's carpet and have had no issues since. ... show more

This did not have the right thread pitch on the right angle connector, and I was therefore not able to screw on my antenna. I confirmed that my antenna had the correct threading. Highly disappointed a standard connection was executed incorrectly.
