I got a new radio for my car that is sirius xm ready. The line for the original antenna is in the trunk for 09 pontiac g5 and I didn't want to have a second antenna on my car, so this long extension helped. Both ends have plastic connector that worked good for the original line connection. But for an aftermarket stereo, you will need to get a satellite radio tuner to hook it up. That tuner will not work with the plastic connector and I had to carefully break it off without damaging the main connection point inside. You don't need that plastic on there anyway since the main connectors fit tightly with each other and won't come loose short of pulling them apart ... show more
