    • Works great, take the batteries out of the flashlight though
If you are going to have this sitting around for long periods of time, remove the batteries from the flashlight. They definitely could corrode, and I see that actually happened to another reviewer before they even received it. The flashlight is hilarious. I didn't even realize it extended as much as it does until I pulled it all the way out. I would be careful with it, but it definitely makes some engine work a lot easier. I usually just try to flood an engine with light when I'm working on it, but I can't really blind myself from below, and leaning over it blocks the light from above. This makes fiddling with something way down in there a lot easier. The magnets all work great. I already had to use them once. I was working on my cousin's infuriating old KIA that breaks every 10 seconds and I dropped...you guessed it...a 10mm straight down inside the block. I couldn't even see where it went, and I definitely didn't want to disassemble an entire engine to find a 10mm, so I went fishing with these magnets. I managed to get it out of there after a few minutes of fiddling. Everything works just fine. I would say that you should be careful with everything, since it does feel a bit fragile, but it's difficult to make things super flexible and super durable at the same time. ... show more

I really like this set of inspection tools and pick up tools. There is a good selection of mirrors, magnets, and lights, and the magnetic dish is a great addition. All of these tools are very useful, and the lights on some of the mirrors and magnets are an awesome feature. The included storage bag is okay, but I don't have much use for it and it isn't the best quality. The only reason I didn't give this set 5 stars is the quality. Though the build quality of these tools is okay, there is definitely room for improvement. Overall, this is a great set, but I would prefer it they were more made a little better. Considering the cost, and the usefulness, this shouldn't really stop anyone from buying this set. ... show more

The BILITOOLS six(6) piece extendable magnetic retrieval/inspecting tool set, comes with two telescoping magnetic pickup tools (one with a built in light), two telescoping inspection mirrors (one with built in lights), one magnetic parts bowl, and one flashlight. The extension parts have about 32 inches extension. The mirrors have a 360 degree rotating mirror head. The flashlight is a small, light, pocket size LED light that's bright enough for it's size. The magnetic bowl is small and good for electronic projects light holding screws from laptops or other devices. The whole kit comes in a soft storage bag. For what you get, this is a good little kit. The only thing you need to be aware of is that the lights all use small "button" batteries if you ever need to replace them. ... show more

This is a really well designed set of extendable magnets and mirrors. I have had many similar items over the years and this is definitely one of the better sets I've had. They all work very well with smooth extending and collapsing action. The lights are nice and bright and the mirrors have crisp reflections. The magnets have a good amount of pull that isn't too strong as to just wind up stuck to the things you don't want it stuck to. This six piece set of magnetic and illuminated tools is very useful, and can be used on many different projects. Many times I have been working on my car and needed to be able to see the underside of various parts; this set not only has mirrors on extendable shafts, but some of the mirrors are illuminated with LED lights, nice. I also like that some of the tools have magnetic ends, that are extendable, and they make it much easier to pickup that screw/bolt that just slipped down into the engine cavity. Its nice that this set includes a metal bowl that is magnetic on the bottom, which is a great place to put screw/bolts while doing the work. It sure is nice to be able to keep track of these items, and have them handy to re-install in replaced parts. And its nice to be able to notice if you installed everything just right. This set even comes with a black velvet looking sack to keep track of the various tools. This set is a nice thing to keep in your toolbox, and it is giftable. Handy addition to any tool box. We've all been there at some point, dropped a nut/bolt/screw that fell into a crevice or other spot that is almost impossible to reach. Your choices are limited, either find another one to replace the one you dropped or have a tool like this to retrieve it. This set has tools that can reach deep into areas and some are small enough to get into those really tight spots where your fingers just cannot go. The extendable lights and mirrors are super for locating those lost items and also for finding those hard to find/see bolts that are keeping you from removing a part for replacement. My only complaint is that these use LR44 button cell batteries, not a common battery that most would have on hand if / when they are needed. Overall, this is a super set to have on hand for that time you really need it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This would have made a great Father’s Day gift if the flashlight worked. The included battery corroded and the light was damaged. I do not believe it can be salvaged. The magnetic tools are nice for any project where a nut, bolt, or screw could be dropped. The lighted mirror will help in dark places. The included sack is nice, but the flashlight being broken set the rating as it corroded in shipping not from use. You may have better luck, but I would check the batteries. ... show more
