  • EZ2209 Problems with sensorless homing
I purchased the EZ2209, and used the carrier boards that they come with to install on a BTT Octopus PRO. Overall work very well, the only problem is that sensor-less homing will NOT work with the EZ2209 when installed via the provided carrier board. The carrier board does not have the DIAG pin necessary to get sensor-less homing working. I am not sure if the EZ2209 supports sensor-less homing on a board that takes the native EZ form factor (such as the SKR EZ), but it cannot work via the carrier board - the pin is not provided. Had to purchase a couple of regular (non-EZ) 2209s for my X/Y axis drivers to get sensor-less homing working. ... show more

  • One of five is doa
Style: TMC2209 UART
I ordered a pack of 5 2209 uart drivers. 1 of the 5 did not work. I verified this by putting a different driver in and it works.

  • Perfect product. Zero support.
Style: TMC2209 UART
I bought this board to build a custom 3d printer. I'd researched for weeks on the "best" replacement boards and this one was always at the top of the list. It was delivered as promised, in beautiful packaging, with ZERO instructions. None. There's a piece of paper that says to go to their GitHub, Discord or F**ebook page. What if I don't use Discord or Facebook? Well, despite this board having dozens of options, hundreds of connectors, jumpers and headers, the "user manual" is 8 pages of useless information. Both the GitHub location and the "user manual" indicate that some drawings (very important power-related jumper settings) might be wrong. I had questions, so I tried the Discord - no answers. I tried multiple emails - no replies. After complete frustration set in, I tried Facebook. I was berated and bullied by several members (including an admin) for asking questions too "aggressively". Still no answers, though. Not a one. TLDR; buy this product ONLY if you have 100% confidence that you know how to configure and connect it because there will be no help from the people that make it. BTT has already warned me that they're going to bully and shame me some more, using my Facebook posts, if I posted an honest review. So, that's who you'd be dealing with if you need help with this or any other BigTreeTech product. They'll never get another dime from me and whoever's reading this should reconsider, as well. ... show more

  • Worked perfectly on Anycubic Mega-s
Style: TMC2209 UART
These were installed on my Anycubic Mega-s. I watched some YouTube videos and gave it a shot. The printer is much quieter. I started at .85v, but had shifting on the x and y axis. After some testing I was able to print without shifting with x and y at .98v. The stepper motors run cooler now too. These are a nice upgrade to the printer. ... show more

  • Pricey but worth it with all the options you get.
Style: TMC5160
Got these to replace my TMC2100s and they work like a champ. No more skipped steps due to over heated motors. These crank out power to my stepper motors and allow me to fine tune just how much power is going to them thru menus on my printers menu. I now run nearly 3 times less power to my motors causing them to run cold, even at speed. This means no more skipped steps due to over heating. This also means my printer runs significantly quieter. These also crank enough power to my extruder motor to run retractions @ 80mms with zero skipped steps while running cold to the touch too. Pros: Runs my stepper motors quieter than any other driver I've owned, and I've owned a lot. DRVs As and older TMCs. These put them to shame. Ability to control vref voltage from menus on my printer is really nice. Sensor less homing is the bomb once you get it tuned. Cons: Had to remove a pin to get sensor less homing working. This was a pain. Price. Other thoughts: These were spendy but if you were like me and keep having motors over heat, these will fix your problem. Worth every penny. ... show more

  • Drivers are nice - Had one defective an no response from seller
Style: TMC2209 UART
4 out of the 5 drivers are great. One stepper driver was shorted VM to GND from the factory (checked with a meter before installation). No big deal but I messaged the seller within a few days of delivery to get a replacement for the faulty one and have had no response. Very satisfied with shipping time and the working drivers though. ... show more

  • Reduced the sound of my 3D printer considerably
Style: TMC2208-UART
I bought these driver to replace the stock A4988 ones that came with my printer. Unfortunately those stock drivers are quite noisy and the screeching sound makes it not very pleasant. I had initially a problem with one of the drivers that was faulty but Bigtreetech send a new one and I got that one and the other ones straight away. They come with nice heatsinks and are very easy to setup. I adjusted the voltage to around 1V for the X/Y/Z axis and 1.2V for the extruder. Now the printer is very very quiet and unless I'm looking at the printer I'm not sure if it's printing or not as the only sound I can hear is the different fans spinning. They've been running for a few months already and still going strong. Definitely is a product I would recommend ... show more
