  • Does The Job
This is the first cooking device that has the heat to cook a steak that is nicely charred on the outside and juicy and perfect on the inside. Burgers come out perfect with no flare ups. It also does pizza very well. The supplied baking stone is a little small for bigger pizzas, but that is because this oven is portable and can go on picnics and campouts. You do need to tend to it as it is very HOT, but cooks the food very fast. Very easy to clean and light. ... show more

  • Sears meats fast! Gets very hot and cooks quickly... I love it!!
This is a simple grill, it does searing. And it does it great! It gets very hot and will sear quickly, even on the lowest heat setting. I'm learning to control it by moving the shelf lower. This way I can give it a little more time to sear my steaks while allowing the heat to penetrate more. Also, it gets up to searing heat quickly, just a few minutes. Fatty steaks like ribeye (my favorite) will drip fat to the lower shelf, but it does clean up easily. I'm a big meat eater and grill a LOT! Most of my steaks have been on my Weber charcoal kettle and I love that flavor. This doesn't give you that charcoal flavor, but it does give an excellent sear. I am very happy with this... one of my better purchases. ... show more

  • This thing is great and it's a great value
I use this thing all the time. Incidentally I recommend that little cooker. It's easy to set up and clean, takes up very little space, cooks steaks ridiculously quickly, and produces a sear that I find superior to that of a cast-iron pan. Great for reverse-searing or hitting the fat cap on a a roast after smoking or whatever. It's been great. It takes a couple cooks to get used to - the carry-over is big, and you don't want to use a sugar marinade or it will burn, but I am finding that just seasoning with salt, cooking for a couple minutes, and putting a pat of butter on top makes the best steaks I've ever managed with a crust that can't be beat. I have done just about every cut imaginable - ribeye, strip, filet, bavette, skirt, Denver, petit filet, flatiron, spider, oyster, and probably a few others I have forgotten. All great. Burgers and pork-chops, too. And for this price, it's difficult or impossible to beat. ... show more

  • Crust to a steak like no other residential individuals capable of
The media could not be loaded. You hear all these stories of the elite steak joints cooking their steaks at a thousand degrees or more but the machines are similarly priced. Gave this one a shot as i can’t get much more beyond 400-500 on my pellet, and what an excellent companion it will become. This thing is intense and puts off a ton of heat and does great work in short order, at a solid price to boot. Hope it lasts. ... show more

  • Mostly true to the hype.
The media could not be loaded. I admit it, Instagram made me buy it. When I first saw Bighorn for $200.00 I was hesitant. Then I saw a few postings on Instagram and TikTok and then I searched on YouTube for reviews. Then I saw it on a flash sale for $159.05 and jumped in it. The reviews I came across were mostly positive and the reviewers main complaints seamed to be about inconsistent temperature from side to side. The nitty gritty: Setup was a breeze. Done in ten minutes and that was taking my time on a 100 degree day. Use: Turn it on and let it heat up (10-12 minutes). At full heat my digital thermometer read 870 on the right side and 770 to 820 on the left (see flame pattern in video). My thermometer reads up to 999 degrees, when aimed at the heating element it read “hi” so over 1,000 degrees. At two minutes per side my steak (cooked on the right before I had measured the temperature) was a nice medium rare. My wife’s steak was way to rare (cooked on the left). Next time I’ll do them for three / three and a half minutes per side side, I’ll also cook hers on the right since she likes closer to medium. Seasoning: Simple SPG. Next time I’ll leave the granulated garlic off, it burned and became bitter (not to bad but noticeable). Conclusion: A bargain for $200 (better at $160). Build quality is better than I expected, but not as well finished as an Otto Wilde grill (I also wouldn’t spend $1,100 for something I’ll only use occasionally. With a little practice I think this will be a nice addition to my outdoor kitchen. I still prefer a steak grilled over charcoal but this made for a fast and easy cook (great for a quick dinner). All in all a solid four plus (couldn’t give it a 5 because of the inconsistent heat). Oh, and yes, while not in the product description mine also included the pizza stone which I’m looking forward to trying (been on the fence about an Ooni pizza oven). So ya, go for it. ... show more

  • Works Great....Sometimes. *Updated*
I really like the way it broils steaks, burgers, and chops. Very nice crusty sear on the outside...like a restaurant. A must have for Carnivores. After the first couple of uses, I now have a very difficult time getting it to light and stay lit. My propane tank is full, I'm getting good flow, but I have to keep the igniter pushed down for up to a minute at a time, and just can't get the ceramic burner to light. I've tried multiple times to find the "sweet spot" on the dial, but just can't. Sometimes it lights relatively quickly (after multiple attempts), but other times, I give up after a dozen tries. It's hit or miss whether I can get it started. I contacted the seller and the manufacturer via their support sites....no responses or replies. Works great when you can get it started. UPDATED** I contacted JEFULL via Amazon. They replied pretty quickly (within a day or so), based on the time difference. They suggested that I adjust the position of the thermocouple inside the broiler and included instructions (with pictures), on how to install a new thermocouple. They also asked how I'd like to proceed (refund or part). I asked them to send me a new part. The part arrived very quickly and I was able to install the new thermocouple pretty easily. I can now light my broiler pretty easily and its stays lit. I've taken to just using a long lighter to get the flame started, and it ignites much easier for me. I now use my broiler almost daily (carnivore type). Great support from this vendor!! Thank you! ... show more
