The insulation in this airpad allows you to sleep directly on it if you choose.. The only con that I had while using this airpad is that it was slippery and if sleeping on a slant I would slide down the airpad. Otherwise easy to inflate with the bag with the bag it comes with firm flation.. I actually used the inflation bag as a pillow during a backpacking trip and stuffed it with my clothes so was able to find a multi purpose for it which was perfect. Very lightweight. Bought this as a 3 to 4 season pad. Really wanted something that had a inflating bag with it. This bed works perfectly! Super comfortable and the raised edges keep ya in place. Not too heavy and super easy to inflate. I'd give it 6 stars if it was an option.
