After about an hour it was fully charged and then I popped in 2 AA batteries into the microphone, and plugged it into my Bose S1 Pro portable PA speaker into one of the XLR 1/4” inputs. Turned on both the microphone and the transmitter/receiver and it quickly connected to each other and I was talking wirelessly with no problems. ok...start with cons.....doesn't fit in my mic clip on my mic stand, have to unscrew the base to pair it. Neither of these are a big deal to me...now the pros: I have a little over an acre of land, and I walked all the way to my fence while paired to my block rocker inside, and it was still working. Pairs very easily and sounds amazing. In an emergency situation, we had to use it for our outdoor wedding ceremony and it worked flawlessly and sounded great. I had to return this mic. Two main problems: when you are done speaking, it takes a good 3 seconds to power off and there's no mute button. The second problem, after waiting waiting 3 seconds for it to turn back on, volume resets itself to the lowest setting... Every time! I night this mic to MC events which means I needed to be able to put it down and pick it up again on the fly. A mute button would go a very long way to make this mic almost perfect.... ... show more

This was to be an extra mic for our karaoke machine. The receiver seems to be ok but the mic won't turn on (with new batteries installed) and there seems to be a parts rattle when the mic is rotated. Still waiting for a response from Bietrun-branded mic technical support. Apparently technicians were all busy when I called the support number. The person I contacted said they would be in touch with email. Still haven't heard from them. If I don't receive a call within few days, I will contact Amazon for instructions to send back this item. ... show more

I've upgraded my rating to a 4 after the vendor contacted me about sending a replacement unit. Perhaps mine was just from a bad batch, so I'm looking forward to using the new one. Our monthly ski club meetings were cancelled due to Covid-19, but we're hoping to be back in the Fall after our normal Summer hiatus. Original review: Just can't seem to get good sound from this. Maybe it's the orientation of the receiver or using an unbalanced input. It really hasn't worked out for my application; as a simple handheld mic system to plug into a powered speaker. I have a Pyle UHF single mic system that has both balanced and unbalanced output. I try to use the balanced output since it sounds better and achieves higher volume. But it has to be plugged into an AC outlet and then connected to the amplified speaker with another cable. Still, the set up is more reliable than this bluetooth mic, and having to use a cable means I can move the receiver around if the incoming mic signal isn't coming in well. Can't do that with the bluetooth's receiver. I could try using some kind of extension cable, but I'd be worried whether the signal supplied by the battery would be able to output enough signal so as not to get degraded by the extra length cable. ... show more

My original review stated "Could not get this to work with my configuration. Returned for refund. The only bright spot was how easy it was to return." A short time after it was returned I was contacted by their customer service team asking for a second chance to make it right. That was appreciated. New unit arrived and when I unpackaged the microphone the cover that holds the power on / off button in place fell off. The tiny screw that held it in place was found loose inside the bag. I put it back together and lightly tightened the tiny screw. Installed the batteries, inserted the receiver into the mic jack of my stand alone speaker and it worked like a champ. I can now drown out my wife's nice voice with my horrible one. It works for that configuration. I will say the mic feels solid and decently built . Once everything was assembled and powered the sound quality for a non audiophile is good. 3 stars as this was attempt number 2 and some extra assembly was required. It is nice to have a wireless mic and you don't have to swallow the mic for it to pick up your voice. Worth consideration if your wanting to add in another microphone. ... show more

Sound quality: pretty bad... I used this for a livestream and that was ok since the quality on the stream wasn't exactly movie quality anyway. It's also totally fine if, for example, you are giving a speech on stage and this is being used to play your voice out of a speaker. But I would absolutely not use this for any kind of production meant to be viewed in high quality, like a recorded interview. Signal: I used this with the receiver a few feet away, and it was flawless. However, if there is the slightest bit of wall obstructing line-of-sight, just give up. Better to daisy-chain the receiver to a more robust wireless mic system. Value: I doubt there is anything better for the price though, so in my opinion, the value is there if you're looking for a really, really budget option for a wireless mic. ... show more

Works very well, got about 15 hrs on a set pf batteries, it was easy to connect and use. The volume control in the mike is useful as it gets passed to different users. we use this as a second pass around mike for a PA system only designed for one mike so it goes to the Aux input using the supplied adapter. Works well, just need to speak to the top of the mike. No feedback issues so far. ... show more
