The Controller has 6 heat settings and 10 hour auto off, allowing you to get just the right temperature and allows you to turn down your thermostat to save energy and money. The therapeutic heat settings can be controlled so you stay comfy whether sleeping in or just relaxing on your couch. The blanket warms up fast and is efficient in keeping you comforted. Do not cover or wrap the controller and make sure both items are in a well ventilated area when in use. Additional safety certification for this product can be viewed on the UL or Intertek websites.     • Durable, soft blanket with great heating control
This heated throw is the best I’ve found, although it’s not perfect. The fabric is a soft, lightweight, fleece-type material that is cozy and cuddly on its own. You can feel the wires, but they’re not as thick as they are in many throws I’ve tried and have a decent amount of flexibility. I love the 10-hour shut off on the heating control, and it’s this feature more than any other that leads me to buy (and rebuy) this throw. (The first lasted for 5+ years of pretty much day and night use during fall/winter/early spring use for two cats who use it primarily to cuddle on - and must share with me on cold winter nights.) It’s stood up to many washings, although I do wash it on the delicate cycle just because it goes through the wash so much. The biggest drawback is that there has been some shifting of the wires and therefore there is some uneven heat distribution. For this reason, I have to take off one star. I know I’ve had it for awhile, but the wires shifted fairly early on and I haven’t been successful at trying to redistribute them. Oh, one last thing. I like the six heat settings on the control. i got this blanket because my friend had a similar one and I loved it. I ordered this and used it for a day and then it stopped working. No red light turned on or anything. Thankfully amazon made it right and gave me a full return. If it worked for longer than a day I would be obsessed with this blanket! Very soft and cozy. ... show more

    • Cheap look and feel
The blanket seams to be of two layers of cloth that are separated except for the edges around it but not united anywhere in the middle, the layers separate and it doesn’t feel or look good.

The description says the blanket should be 72 x 84” what I got is more like 60 x 50”. I am 54 so if you convert that into inches that’s 64 inches if I’m standing this blanket comes up to my chin should be well over the top of my head at 72 inches!! It’s not even the size of a twin blanket!! Returning. It would be a great blanket if the seller actually sent this blanket IN the advertised size. ... show more
