  • Works very well for big hands
I had a 3rd party vertical grip for my Canon 6Dm2 but for some strange reason it quit recognizing both batteries. At first I thought maybe a camera problem with the batteries (pair of non-OEMs) but was not, Since I don’t use the 6Dm2 as much now that I have a R6m2, I didn’t really want to spend a lot of money on a replacement. Saw this unit and figured I’d give it a go. It arrived and I put the pair of batteries in the tray and loaded it in the camera. LED flashed showing it had power. Turned on the 6Dm2 and selected the menu page to see battery status. Well Bob’s your uncle! There were both batteries being reported and showing the registration numbers just like I expected it to be. Exercised all the functions on the grip and everything was A-OK. Nice unit and better price. Funny thing was I compared it to the unit that had failed and could not tell them apart?!?! The old unit’s battery tray even fit the new unit and worked do problem is inside the grip body. Maybe I’ll save it for a winter project to repair for a spare. ... show more
