Cool item I got this for my dad for Xmas. He used it in a 16 in dodge caravan tire. It was confusing till we went on YouTube and figured it out and it worked out cool buy it saves time

  • Good for light duty. YouTube videos help.

It did the job for my 21x7-10 ATV tires. I suspect it would not hold up with heavy daily use. I bought this after I got very frustrated trying every other trick out there. You’ll need a 1-1/4 inch socket. It works very well after you get it seated and clamped on the rim. You have to start with the top of the tool angled in towards the center of the hub, then tap it in and tighten it as it moves toward vertical. It helped me to watch a YouTube video. ... show more

  • Buy it.

Very happy purchase. I got 2 breakers specifically to break tractor tires. 16x34 rim was a breeze, literally had the bead off in under a minute. Don't need to crank the claw down very hard, just enough to seat the pushing paw.

  • Seconding generalOne's review, a good value, but it needs a fix before you use.
Size: Standard
Well, I had gone too far and seized mine up. The return was excepted, and I was able to find the bushing at tractorsupply to do basically what generalOne did. If you don't do the repair as stated, which you should absolutely do - it'll seize eventually. I loosened the stopper (small bolt on the side, 17mm) and then twisted out the thread it is on, which should be hand loose. After that, I turned the top top nut all the way loose (counter clockwise) until the boot dropped down. I took that part to tractor supply and lined up a bushing, then reinstalled with the bushing, and used extra grease ( I put anti seize around the washer as extra ). For the bushing I got, I did have to dremel out the center hole a bit to get it to fit. Afterwards, it did not seize, and I used it like 3-4 times on my tractor tire, popping the bead, without issue. Seems like a pain, but worth it for the value/cost of this tool. PS - FWIW, I'm not sure if it's because of the repair, but I only had an air impact wrench, not just an air wrench, and it works fine. I just used the lowest setting to loosen so it wouldn't over-tighten in the "off" position. I used medium setting, probably around 250 ft/lb to tighten, and once it slowed just used a breaking bar to finish. ... show more

  • Worth the price

I was skeptical for $85 but I was proven wrong. Had my dirt car beadlock tire off in 5 mines with a 1 1/4 socket and ratchet.
