The media could not be loaded. This is a great little soundbar. It's stylish, minimal, doesn't stick out visually (which is important to me). Plenty of connectors in back - HDMI, Coax, Optical, Aux (headphone jack), USB, and the power input. I really love how the connector plugins are inset a bit into the speaker, so it can be flush with a wall and the cords won't interfere. Shows that thought was put into this. In an attempt to be helpful I've included photos with my tape measure, so you can see the exact measurements for yourself. I estimate it's 28.25 inches long, 2.75 inches tall, and 3.50 inches deep. I also included a pic measuring the wall mounts with the tape measure - both about 7.5 inches in from the sides. It sounds really good, great bass, clear sound - probably better than the video picks up. The remote works nicely too, and is laid out really logically, not like some of the weird ones on here. The remote battery is included. Also comes with the power cord, aux cord (headphone jacks, male to male), and optical cord. Plus a couple screws and drywall widgets. No setup required, plug and play, and the remote even can control your bluetooth devices! So when I pair the speaker with my phone's Spotify, I can point the remote at the speaker and hit play/pause and it'll work with my phone. Real nice. Overall, great speaker, and very worth the money. I ordered this sound bar to use with my PC via optical from my motherboard. It fits into my setup well since the size allows it to sit on a my desk behind my wall-mounted monitors. The setup was quick and easy. The unit is simple enough to set up and use without even needing the quick-start guide. I was able to get connected to Bluetooth right away without any unnecessary fiddling. The sound isn’t revolutionary by any means, but it’s still better than a 28-inch sound bar has any right to be! I’ve used it for shows, movies, music, and games, with excellent sound quality across all forms of media. I played with the EQ and treble/bass balance a bit to get a good balance, and now I just leave it where it’s at. Volume is nice and loud, balance is great, and no popping or hissing to be heard. Well made with lots of connectivity options and the included remote works without a hitch at moderate distances. This is definitely more of a 'speech and dialog' focused sounder as it has a lot of midrange frequencies in all of the available audio presets. Your not going to get earth shaking low end out of this but then, that's not what's its designed for. So far so good. Greatly improved sound over the TV speakers alone. However, if you want greater fullness, or more of a "surround sound" experience, you may want to choose another option. There is an occasional "pop" that comes from the bar when turning the TV off.

    • OK with discount; affected by 2.4 GHz RF interference. Not as good as Vizio if you can get that
I bought this as a Lightning Deal + coupon, for $32 off regular price. Ordered on Saturday and it arrived on Monday, even after a sudden 6 inches of snowfall. (Hey Jeff Bezos, don’t put your drivers in harm’s way next time. Tell me to wait a day and I’ll understand.) I just bought a Vizio 2.1 sound bar with subwoofer a couple months ago from Costco for $120 (discounted from $150) and love it. Out of curiosity I looked it up again and it’s now selling for $100. Had I seen that before buying this BYL, I’d have gotten that instead. In fact I went ahead and ordered another Vizio on a whim (FOMO) and will consider whether to keep this one. I think if I’d gotten this before the first Vizio, and/or if they weren’t so close in price, I probably would rate this BYL higher. So this might be an unfair comparison. But it’s an unfair world. I like that I can program my TV remote to control this sound bar very easily. (I’d bought a TaoTronics sound bar (no subwoofer) for my father but it cannot be programmed to operate from the TV remote.) Only issue is that you cannot pick which functions to program or not; you must program ALL of On, Mute, Volume Up, and Volume Down, in that order, no skipping. Ok except I didn’t really want the On/off function via TV remote. Turning the TV on & off sometimes confuses the sound bar. But I can sort of look past that. But it’s not as if you can toss the included remote; you still need it to switch modes and adjust sound settings. The bass is good, not great. I usually “test” it with space launch videos (Apollo, Space Shuttle, etc.). There is a slight rumble, but less than with the Vizio. I have to turn the bass up to maximum to get that effect on the BYL; on the Vizio I have the subwoofer up just over halfway. BTW like most other sound bars, you must set the TV’s digital audio output to PCM. The Vizio has Dolby capability. For dialogue, most if the time it’s clear, sometimes not. Better than the TaoTronics which seems to have high frequencies cut off (and no adjustment). For streaming music over Bluetooth however, the bass becomes obnoxious and muddy at full beans. (I usually test that with “Come Together” by The Beatles.) Difficult to find a sweet spot with music. It did pair relatively easily. BTW, you cannot separately control the level of the subwoofer and the so-called “bass” in the bar itself. The Bass +/- buttons seem to control both together. I wouldn’t have known this was a thing except the Vizio does let you do this. Also, instead of separate LED’s or icons to indicate the selected mode (Bluetooth, Optical, AUX, etc.), there is a single color-coded LED that changes color for each selected mode. Mice, but the blue (for Bluetooth, duh) is hard to see. Not a problem until you try to watch it flash with each press of the remote. I don’t get much difference between Movie and Dialogue mode, especially as I have the Treble turned up to max. It is better than the TaoTronics bar I bought a month or so ago, which is missing crispness and sounds cut off. I happened to use the microwave (in the next room) while listening to music in this device, and the RF interference affected the wireless subwoofer signal terribly. It clips and goes out of sync, and sometimes drops out entirely. Haven’t had this issue with the Vizio. I’ll move it downstairs and see if I get the same phenomenon. I will say I notice the stereo separation is as good as the Vizio, even though it’s shorter by 8 inches. I don’t know if that’s because of the Bluetooth 4.2, or something else. I also tried some sound test videos on YouTube (through my TV and Firestick) and at least to my ears, it seems quite nice. There’s even a slight surround effect. Manual is decent; it is of course “Chinglish” but it’s clear enough. (In fact it’s ONLY in English; no French, Spanish, German, etc.) Diagrams are clear and correct. Is it good on it’s own? Yes, quite good enough. But not great, and not for much less than one that is great. Even at their discounted prices, the Vizio at $100 is a far better value than the BYL for $76 (and it’s now back to $92). ... show more
