Snagged this item while it was on sale. Got a 80w, 34" one first and placed it in a smaller (carpeted) loft space as a supplement to the Televisions built in speakers. It was decent sounding and triggered us to buy a second while they were still on sale. Purchased the exact same item in 100w, 40" for the living room and I am a little bit LESS impressed with the item, probably because it is a much larger open concept room (living, dining & Kitchen) and the space could use a better quality system than this one. For around $80 though it is definitely an upgrade from the TV's built in speakers while we save to upgrade to one of those Big name versions in the near future. CONS: The built in blinking (indicator) light is tough to see unless you are directly in front of the speaker as it seems to be hidden beneath the speaker fabric. The light does not blink, or there is no indicator rather, when tapping the remote to indicate it is sensing you pushing the volume buttons & since they are slow to adjust the volume it take a few clicks before you can really hear a change in the volume - if I could change one thing it would be that. PROS: We had little to no difficulty connecting via Blue tooth to our (I)phone for music or using the fiber-optic(?) cable included to connect to the televisions (our tv bracket gave us more of a headache because it was blocking a port we needed). Again, we cause this item on sale so $65 for the smaller one & $80 for the bigger was a DEAL. Overall for the price this speaker amplifies the sound volume, but if you are looking for high quality movie theater style, seat shaking bass this likely will fall flat for you. but if you want to increase the volume with decent sound quality then I think you have found something worth the price. ... show more

This review is for the 40" Bestisan 100W sound Bar. I bought this to improve the sound from my TV in a large pole barn. The TV sound was just lost in the big open space. The sound bar was extremely easy to set up and a template is included to help you locate brackets if you want to mount it to the wall. The sound bar provided plenty of volume and very good sound. The 100W claim is probably high even for peak. The power supply is 19V @1.65A output so ~31Wrms would be the max it could push out under ideal conditions. The bass is very good for a soundbar, but it isn't going to replace a good subwoofer. Overall, Great value for the money. ... show more

So far so good... plugged it into my Fire TV with no problem and works great! Once it is on, every time you turn on the TV it goes on also, so not using the remote much.

Got this sound bar today and set it up and running within ten minutes of unboxing. (Bluetooth 40 inch model) Very impressive sound compared to a smaller Bose sound bar that I have been using for several years. I am mostly using this for music playback. The sound has wonderful depth and since I have the longer model it really helps to distribute a full range of sound. The bang for the buck is outstanding. When selecting this sound bar I seriously considered another Bose model but they were too stubborn to let me have a discount on a referb. I will say that there is nothing wrong with the Bose that I have, just going to send that one out to my workshop and keep the Bestisan in my home studio. ... show more

I won't be too much of a Scrounge. The speakers sound pretty decent. I had no noticable delay using Bluetooth to connect to my TV. Pairing was pretty straight forward to be honest. Audio volume and quality is noticably better than the built in speakers in the TV. I just maxed out the volume on the speaker itself and use the TV to control the overall volume otherwise. Also the bar is pretty damn big. In the picture, that's a 65 inch Samsung behind it. I wouldn't recommend this 40inch model for any TVs under 65inches. The design is also very practical and I think the females will approve of it more than other models that are a bit more on the boxier side. This unit is slightly more rounded and curvy. Also the 3 audio modes are actually well tunes for their intended purpose but I find the MOVIE mode just sounds the best overall. And there's no noticable audio distortion even a Mac volume which is well appreciated. I'd rather have a low beautiful sound than a loud obnoxious mess. Good decision guys. Now for my cons. I wasn't able to get the optical input working because the TV won't detect it. My TV doesn't have RCA/composite audio out so I couldn't try that either. But my biggest grip against this sound bar is the VERY misleading advertising of "100 watts". First of all this is in no way 100 watts, it's not even 40 watts. The power supply is a 19V adaptor with 1.83amps. Now the way you calculate wattage is to multiply voltage times amperage. So 19 x 1.83 = 34.77 watts. Maybe if I find a 19V power supply with 5.26amps then I could test if it's actually capable of the 100watts claim. Also for the sheer size of this sound bar, I think it should be alot louder and fuller sounding. I think I'm gonna try a few other sound bars and see if I can be satisfied within this price bracket. ... show more
