I have owned 2 of these so far and this device is great. I use it to charge my laptop, charge my phone and bluetooth all at the same time. It has a heavy duty Cig cord and plug. The unit fan is quiet and its the right size to fit in my cup holder in my Semi. The cord fits real tight in the socket ( so it wont just fall out) and because of this the first one I had, I pulled the connector loose trying to get the cord out so the only thing I would suggest is that you pull straight out and be patient. If you try and wiggle it, it will put stress on the connector inside the unit and break the soldier connector. I use mine daily and its Great!! (great price too!) ... show more

Great for those who have a lot of electronic gear. I go on multi-day trips photographing, hiking/camping/backpacking and use this to charge my kindle, camera batteries, flashlights, phone, etc., and to power my laptop so that can download my photos and access the internet while on the road. This device really makes these trips much more convenient since I am in the wilderness often and don't always stay at hotels. I chose this particular device because of the wide spacing between the ports, which makes it possible to plug in several bulky adapters and battery chargers at once. The price is great and has saved me a lot of money - the alternative is to would be to buy a bunch more memory cards, li-ion batteries, or rent a hotel room just to charge my devices for the night. This is the quietest inverter ever. I honestly forget that it is even on. Granted, the inverter I had prior to this one was a heavy, chunky model from about 1989 that was a hand-me-down from my parents 15 years ago. It had been through hell and back but kept on truckin'. Right before it's death from dismemberment, it was a very loud inverter that struggled to stay on at times. So that's what I was coming from. Maybe most inverters are quiet these days. Anyway, aside from the very quiet fan, this little inverter is very lightweight and the regular "power strip" style outlets are perfect for all of the oversized chargers that exist out there. I don't really use the USB ports much because I have always had the rapid charge AC adapter for my phone but it's good to know that I have the option since buying a charging cable in a pinch is much cheaper than a full on rapid charger. The weirdest part about this inverter is the power cord needs to be attached when it first arrives. The port for the power cord isn't super secure so when you push it into the hole, the hole connection kind of sinks back into the device. This caused me to not want to push too hard for fear of breaking the entire thing. But you HAVE to push hard to make sure it is fully plugged in. The few people who said theirs kept falling out may not have pushed hard enough. Maybe. For the price, this thing can't be beat, IMO. I keep this in my work bag so I always have a power source while driving around for work. The lighweight nature and compact design mean I can keep this with me at all times without even thinking about it. It charges my Android phone and my MacBook without trouble. ... show more

This power inverter has served me well. It is now March 2023 and I purchased it in November of 2020. Unfortunately the 2.1 amp USB charging ports now charge at a much, much slower rate than the one amp USB charging ports. I have written to the company and I will revise the review based on their response. The cooling fan has become quite noisy, but that may be due to the fact that I off-road quite a bit and have collected a lot of dust in the vehicle. I reached out to the company recently asking damn if they could repair my unit. Instead, they asked me for my address and my old Amazon order number and sent me a brand new one. This is the 3rd BESTEK inverter model that I have purchased in the past 5 years. I have it hard wired into the travel trailer 12 volt TV power adapter with an inline 10amp fuse. The first one lasted less than 3 years of light use only when dry camping to charge mobile devices and to power a small LED TV. At about the 2 year mark, the USB ports would no longer provide power but had no effect on the AC outlets so it no longer worked for our needs. I purchased another one and shortly thereafter sold the trailer. Most of the older trailers supply one 12 Volt socket for your TV so this model is perfect for RV travelers. You can simultaneously charge 4 mobile devices without having to turn on the inverter thanks to the "pass through" technology. Only when you plug in to the AC outlets do you need to power on the inverter. The fan runs continuously but not loud enough to draw attention to when watching TV. Just remember you are limited to 8 amps for the TV outlet even though the inverter has an inline 30 amp glass fuse so don't try to power a hair dryer, flat iron or heater or you'll surely blow the fuse in your trailer and overload the inverter. ... show more
