  • Noisy, but effective.
Size: 150W
The fan makes a good bit of noise, but all of these inverters have a fan. Otherwise it works, and seems to be pretty durable.

  • Durable, Efficient Power in your Vehicle All the Time
Size: 150W
This is a rewrite of my original review. I have had this product since 2015-2016 and I do not know where I would be without it. I efficiently charges my portable electronics like my smartphone and like the Energizer bunny it just keeps on going. I use it every day night and day several hours a day and it works year after year. At times it can make a few strange noises but most of the time it is pretty quite and sometimes it will work completely silently. It works and it is durable without needing kid-gloves or speacial attention. It was $19.99 when I bought it. I just throw it on the counsel of my truck and plug it in every morning. The one caveat is that you want to avoid starting your vehicle with this device connected because it will draw down your battery power and if you do not have a good battery that might get you in trouble. Beside that there is nothing negative to say about this thing. It does what it is supposed to, does it well, and does it without having to worry about treating it gently after three years of daily use for several hours every day. ... show more

  • Works fine. I've had it for four years.
Size: 150W
I bought this on Amazon four years ago, and am just getting around to reviewing it. It's been working well (plugged into my car's cigarette lighter) to power some items in my car, ever since I purchased it. I use it several times a week. It does make a little grinding sound sometimes when it's starting up... I'm not sure what's up with that. All in all though it's a good item. Some inverters have an attached cord which connects to more outlets. I do like this item, but next time I get one I'll be trying one of those. The extra length of the attached cord will be useful for some of the items I need to power. ... show more

  • Works as described charges everything i threw at it
Size: 150W
I recommend this product. I bought this to keep in the car on the occasion i need to charge a laptop or other non USB device. I already have a great USB car charger that provides a 2.1A charge. One thing you should know that you can't get more then 150w out of a car charger. Anything more and you would need to plug directly to the battery. Using this I plugged in a small power strip and charged the following devices. Kindle fire, camera battery and my laptop. My laptop was not on at the time of charging. It worked like a charm. The device is a little bulky and there is a fan that can be heard if you don't have the radio on. I would expect as much considering the amount it would can charge and that it packs a regular plug plus 2 USB ports into it. Make sure that your DC port will fit this guy. They do make extension cables for DC ports if you need it. They also make cables that you can plug directly to the battery for something heavier then 150w. ... show more

  • Works well, but note quirks
Size: 150W
Purchased for my 2000 Toyota 4Runner with 3 120W 12V outlets for use on long trips etc., based on positive reviews here. The 120V AC output of the charger works well for my Lenovo t61p and a friend's Toshiba Satellite laptops. I've used it for about 2 hrs since my purchase so far. Construction is of decent quality plastic and the product feels solid. However, there are a few quirks you should be aware of. Minor, but nuisances nonetheless, and enough to subtract two stars from the rating. 1) The click-angle head of the product is weak. It cannot support the weight of the product outlet head and a plug at an upwards angle -it will creep downwards as you drive with your car's driving vibrations. The click head more or less holds its place when used horizontally. 2) The click-angle head's rotational range is narrow. The range or motion shown on the product picture is its maximum range of motion. Due to the adapter's large size, it may not fit your vehicle if the 12V outlet is right behind your shifter, etc. 3) The cooling fan is loud during operation, even when only using the USB outlets. The noise is bearable on the highway amongst highway vehicle noise (and my truck's on the loud side by today's standards), but the constant whine is unpleasant during street driving. You should purchase a separate adapter for dedicated use with USB devices. I think the noise is about equivalent to a vacuum cleaner behind a thick door or 2. I would consider a corded inverter instead of this product for space use flexibility and placement muffling -the noise will be far less obnoxious say, under your legs than on the dash console; even if the other product is equivalently loud. ... show more

  • Fantastic for 110V power on the go
Size: 150W
I purchased this device just for the little things that need plugged in when I'm on the road. I finally got a chance to challenge the device with something more than charging a laptop battery. I bought a similar device at Wally World rated for the same power and it was a lousy piece of crap, it wouldn't allow me to operate my laptop, only to charge the battery, and even that was sketchy. With the significant understanding that this runs off of a cigarette adapter which is a low load device, it is very important to know how much wattage you are trying to draw. I use a Kill-A-Watt meter to check the load of my devices before I try powering from inverters. What do you do when you are going to a party and want to bring a delicious crock pot dish or snack, but you can't eat it when you arrive because it needs to warm up or cook? Well, you measure the draw of your crock pot with your watt meter and then you plug it into this inverter if it is under 140-150 watts. Mine on low draws 89 watts and guess what, no overloading and we had some awesome warm Ruben Dip for my friend Bob's birthday. You will be very happy with this device. It also has separate USB outputs to charge your phone or GPS and still use the 110V output. Other reviewers have complained about the noise of the tiny internal fan, that is absolutely ridiculous. The road noise will easily drown out the fan, let alone if you're using air conditioning, heating, or actually use the radio. With this device, there's no excuse to ever have depleted batteries for any of your electronic devices because you're on the road ... show more
