The instructions are very clear and well documented. On each page it also includes sequence numbers so that you put it together in the right order. Everything was very well packaged. When constructing everything keep in mind that you will have to remove any molding that is behind the wall bed and secure the top to the wall into the studs so you will need a stud finder. You could probably get away with dry wall anchors but given the weight of the whole unit I would not recommend it. Try not installing it in a corner because most likely the wall will not be straight and it will not leave you any room for adjusting. You will notice in the video that mine is in a corner and it caused it to not be perfectly straight which makes one side rub just barely which is something I'm going to fix but is not at all any issue the bed itself. As you can see from the video and pictures we placed this bed in a relatively small room which makes it perfect to use the room for another purpose while also having the spare bed just in case. You will also noticed that the bed does not stay against the frame, this is mostly because the mattress that we are using is mostly foam and not very ridged. I'm going to attach some nylon straps to it to keep it in place but haven't done so yet. ... show more

we love this murphy bed, it looks great! i did not assemble it myself, a I hired a carpenter to do it for me. it was extremely heavy, and i could not lift the boxes (or handle the parts) by myself. my carpenter needed a second person to help assemble, which was fine. the only real complaint i have is that the front doors did not permanently attach (they just hang from hook-like structures from a support beam). this caused the front doors to come separated and fall off the front, onto me & my girlfriend as we were trying to open the bed the first time we tried to use it. this is extremely poor design in my opinion (or maybe poor instructions?) either way, this should be fixed at the manufacturer level, or made more clear in the assembly instructions, so someone doesn't get hurt. i called my carpenter, who came back the next day with the right tools and drilled metal screws into the hooks & frame so this would not happen again. we have no complaints now that it's put together. very comfortable and nice looking piece, and the price was fair. ... show more

Received my boxes. The box with the metal parts and screws, tools etc. Was broken. Too heavy for the contents. Very first thing, I did an Inventory. Some parts were missing. Contacted Bestar via email and they responded rapidly stating they were shipping the missing parts on november 2nd. It would take between 7 to 10 business days. Today is November 9th and Fedex still have not received the package. They claim Is in customs and I should wait 24 hours more to see if it updates the Fedex Portal. My visit arrives next week and I don't have a bed. Instead I have a room full of hardware. ... show more

I live in a two-bedroom condo. When Covid struck, I was desperate for space-saving options to bring more functionality to my small home. Now that the guest room doesn't have a bed taking it up, it's both a home office and gym. The idea is so simple I can't believe I hadn't thought of it before, and the space I've gained has truly helped me stay sane during Covid quarantines. It works exactly as described and is very sturdy. The only con is its difficulty to assemble; I ended up paying a contractor $400 to safely and expertly mount it, so take that into account when purchasing. The instructions were clear and straightforward. The bed is incredibly sturdy and well mounted to the wall. I bought additional hardware to make more secure but didn't end up needing it because the hardware that came with it was quite good. You might need an impact drill to get it through the studs though (I had to borrow a friends). Otherwise, once you remove the baseboards, you are all set.     • Effective and Attractive Space-Saver

This bed arrived in less than a week of ordering, and needed to be delivered via freight. I live in a single-family home, so getting the boxes to the room we needed them was not too difficult, though we did remove the pieces from the boxes one at a time to carry. If someone were to purchase this for an apartment building, condo, etc. getting these up the stairs or elevator might be very challenging, as the pieces are large and heavy. Some of the other reviews cite how difficult it was to assemble this bed. I couldn't disagree more. My wife did help move and hold some things, but it was mostly just a one-person job. It does take a few hours, split over a couple of days, but keep in mind you are building a large, heavy piece of furniture that is folding a bed up and not allowing it to fall down. Pretty remarkable really. The end result is a very effective, cost-efficient bed that is well worth the time to assemble. We felt that we gained another whole room back in our house. ... show more
