    • Great Laptop I Now Use As My Desktop As Well

I purchased a creators edition and am pleased with everything. I had a bit of a learning curve with this Laptop. Mostly involving understanding the color output. I've found that you can tweak the saturation levels, which come from the factory too saturated, using the Intel Graphics Control software. I'm a photographer and this laptop allowed me to get rid of my aging Desktop PC and use the laptop as my studio PC as well as my travel PC. It works well with a docking hub and external Thunderbolt disk array, and I've been able to make the office setup a 3 monitor setup with fully calibrated color to each monitor. For a 17 inch monitor, it has a relatively small footprint and fits nicely in my old 15 inch case, but your mileage may vary. It's not that heavy that it presents a problem when on the road. I do find that the keyboard is a little bit touchy and lacks a good feel, but it works well. I find that often I misalign my fingers when first positioning my hands. It's difficult to type on it without accidentally hitting something that diverts my typing, generally by grazing the track pad. Quite touchy. For my docked configuration, I use a Dell Bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse. Once connected, they have both proved reliable and functionally better than using the built in keyboard. Outdoors, the screen brightness is quite good. I can work on my porch with bright sunlight and still see what is happening with good definition. No problems with overheating. It's seldom more than slightly warm when working on photos, but I haven't tried it yet with serious video or gaming. I suspect it will have no problems though. I am using this specifically for CAD/CAM and digital image/video editing. I was going to get a Mac, but my CAD/CAM is PC. I've had a lot of computers and laptops of medium to high grade and this Laptop is exactly what I've always wanted. Desktop power in a laptop with a screen that rivals my Macs.
