I’m pretty seasoned at assembling furniture. Pretty much everything I own required some sort of assembly. Now, the assembly itself is not too terrible… the pictures for the instructions? Not good. I put several pieces on backwards because of the way it was pictured in the instructions and had to redo parts of it more than once. I didn’t have any problems with pieces breaking (Be gentle with the cam locks! You don’t need to tighten it too much!). It took about two hours to put together. Thankfully, even though the instructions kind of sucked, the end result was awesome and it is exactly what I was looking for! Tons of storage, the top lifts up to just the right height. LOVE this table. It's so convenient to be able to eat on the sofa and watch a movie with how the top lifts up. It's very sturdy and looks great! Assembling it was a little challenging. It was not super clear which direction the mechanism needed to be screwed in. And I did it wrong first and needed to redo that whole section. Even with that difficulty, it's definitely worth it. Assembly: 2 people recommended unless you have a proper work area to do it on. (Last step needs 2 people no matter what) A lot of the reviews talk about how the instructions are unclear or seem out of order. I think they listened to the reviews because the instruction were still pictures BUT they made it so no steps got in the way of the the other steps. Sturdiness: Pretty sturdy. It is made of particle board but what isn't nowadays. The lift top is better than I expected especially for the price. It wobbles a tiny bit when putting it back down but nothing that makes me think it's going to break. Storage: so much storage space. Love it! I bought 3 storage bins and they fit perfectly. Quality: overall it's ok. That's where my 4 star comes in. The legs were dirty in the grooves. Some of the wood pieces at the edges were already chipping (because it's particle board). Luckily majority of the chipping was hidden but some not so much. Also there are no extra pieces so do NOT lose any of the parts or else you're out of luck. TL;DR: I am very happy with the product. I love lift-out tables but didn’t want to go for any nice full price furniture. The top that I received was much more red than the pictured product. The top is laminated so you can set drink right onto it and just wipe up any condensation that gathers with no water marks. The particle board sides and top are sturdy and the legs are solid wood which is nice since I’d rather not have particle board legs. The top can be opened with one hand if you grab it in the middle despite what others have said. It was easy to assemble and for attaching the top to the hinges, I first just screwed the hinges onto the top, placed a stack of books on the main body and placed the top balancing on the books so it was raised above. I then just lined the lower part of the hinges up with the corresponding holes on the main body and voila. The holes for the cam lock fittings aren’t all even so the cam locks aren’t all flush with the furniture body but the only parts where this shows are the cubby spaces on the bottom which I have filled with bins anyway. I’ve read that people had to make some of their own holes but mine came with every hole pre-drilled. All in all you get what you pay for. I think this table is great for a small space. I have it under my wall mounted TV in the living room and it doubles as a coffee table or my dinner table just by pulling it forward a bit (small apartment with combined living room dining room). Table looks and feels solid but take care even pulling the table into the up position using usual force in both sides with two hands. I feel like it wouldn't be hard to damage the hinges if you misaligned your pull out. ... show more

Let me start by saying that for the price, this table is a steal. Its a nice design, plenty of storage, and very inexpensive! But here are the problems I encountered with it: 1. I was sent the wrong parts. The pictured panels were supposed to be mirrored but I got 2 of the same pieces. I needed to drill holes in one of them which was very inconvenient and much more work than expected. 2. The table top was chipped. It’s on the bottom side so not devastating, but still uncool. In conclusion, the finished product is fine (the hinges are a bit wobbly, but that could be because I had to drill my own holes) but the assembly was a hassle.
