I generally like this product. True that the backboard is not very big, but that’s especially in light of the hoop itself being typical size. It’ll fit a real basketball fully but makes the backboard looks small in comparison. And the net also seems fine but I do try to bring it inside the garage when not using it. I haven’t had any fraying and it seems strong enough. My biggest gripe is the rim which wasn’t soldered very well and has just a little bit of an angle. You can see this in the picture. Easy to put together, did by myself in 60 minutes. Materials are definitely cheap, especially the flimsy plastic backboard. The hoop was somewhat crooked and I had to adjust it. If you shoot a standard size basketball the whole thing shakes and the hoop starts to bend and needs to be readjusted. We are using a smaller lighter basketball. For toddlers this is great. If you are serious about basketball in any way, this is pretty useless. My 5 year old loves it but I’m sure he will outgrow it pretty quickly. ***UPDATE*** Have had the hoop for 3 months and can verify a few things other reviewers have noticed. The net disintegrated after 6 weeks or so. I ran to local sports store and picked up a new one for a few bucks so no big deal. The biggest problem is the flimsy backboard and hoop structure makes the hoop lean and sag after minimal use. VERY poor design. That said there is an easy fix. I screwed in a 1/2” PVC pipe to the backboard and fed it down the main tube. This provides a much more rigid backboard and firmer hoop with less sag. This is an easy fix but I am surprised the didn’t design it this way to begin with. I have some before and after pictures. At any rate, I still recommend the hoop as a cheap fool around hoop for toddlers. And with minor modifications maybe will last more than a few months since I was about to trash the thing. This basketball goal would be great, except that it arrived missing the axle component that allows the wheels to stay in place and keeps the goal steady. When I let customer service know about the issue, they told me that my only option was to completely tear down and repackage my 3YO SON'S FAVORITE BIRTHDAY GIFT and send it back to them. In turn, they would send me another in 5-10 business days! If you have kids you know that this is absolutely unacceptable. I asked if they could just send me an axle- no. I asked it they could just send the new goal and when it arrived I would repackage the current one and return it- no. Customer service is terrible, and I'm going to end up scouring Home Depot for an axle to fit and try to rig something together. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT BUY THIS AGAIN. UPDATE: After a few days of back and forth the company sent me a new goal and didn't ask that I break down and return the old one. My son now plays on a "full court" on our back patio. It's perfect for an athletic 3yo. I think we have the goal set around 6ft, but it can go up another 2-3ft. Great basketball goal at a good price when it comes with all the parts. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So, this guy was great and used it a few times a week outside (it was assembled & put outside end of April for a 5th b'day present), however by the beginning of July (only a little over 2-months of sun exposure), the whate part of the net broke down from outdoor exposure (rain/sun) to the point that it is so brittle, it fell off from its own weight and turns to dust when pulled. I contacted the seller/manufacturer and was informed that the product was outside of their 60-day warranty because of my order/delivery date and so there is nothing for them to do. Are you kidding me!?! This was infuriating because I have minimal expectations for this lasting years, but to not even last 3months. And for the warranty period to only cover 60-days, that only reinforces that they know they are selling a horrible product and know that this failure and other failures happen after 60-days, so they are just making sure that your problem isn't their problem. If you don't care, then go for this and order a new net at the same time. But if you do care, read the fine print and find a hoop that is backed by the company, not one that is apparently so inferior that the company won't warranty it. ... show more
