Attention Please 1. During the DIY, make sure that each pipe is inserted into the bottom of the connector, so that the entire shelf can be more stable and bear more weight. Purchased these shelves to use as cubbies for rollerskates and duffle bags. I was able to put it together with relative ease, but I wanted to assemble in different arrangement than the picture. I didn't realize it was not intended to be customizable. Our household is handy and so we were able to get the arrangement we wanted by drilling extra holes, but please be aware that it takes much longer to arrange or rearrange if you deviate from the original configuration at all. There has been no issue with these shelves holding the wait of skates but I probably wouldn't trust it with books. ... show more

I am a senior in a small apt but I needed more room for my art supplies so this fits so perfectly where my bedroom door was, i had removed it to open up my living area awhile ago. It was fun to put up, however for me I needed another person to help. It looks great and it feels like its been there forever. The only problem was one end of the units poles fit in like a song however the othere end was harder but then, I remember reading that you might have to use a rubber hammer so we used a book & a regular hammer, it worked & the unit is solid & looks so cool since I gave most of my good furnature it blends perfectly with my other furniture of casual living, so most people didn"t even doesn't notice it, until they sat down & spent a few minutes & noticed my art books & soom colored bins with art paper, brushes, etc. It really doesn't take up any more space so really i am thrilled with my "child's toy/shelving unit". Good for money spent. I wasn't expecting something very sturdy or anything amazing for 29.99 so for the price and simplicity of install, I say 5 stars. For material used 3 stars, as some of the rods were bent at the end, no longer in circle form to be pushed into the plastic inserts. They are easily fixed. I used a small wood dowel and light pressure to re-round them out. If you are too forceful I imagine they would break easily. The rods themselves are very thin metal. The fabric is thinner than I imagined and it has more of a brown hue to it then grey. Over all not a bad purchase for 30 bucks and I purchased for organization for my stepsons room. That way if he destroys it (he's 4 and clumsy) I'm not out $100 or anything too expensive. Once he grows out of it, ill use it for storage in my basement. Over all, not a bad purchase. ... show more

I bought these to use as closet organizers in my sons room. They are perfect for what I need them for and I have loaded them up with toys giant boxes of diapers and wipes! We are using them as bookshelves and to hold all of my sons toys in clothes that would not fit in his drawer. Surprisingly it is a lot more sturdy than I thought it was going to be and the quality is great. For the price you cannot beat this! I bought these to use as closet organizers in my sons room. They are perfect for what I need them for and I have loaded them up with toys giant boxes of diapers and wipes! We are using them as bookshelves and to hold all of my sons toys in clothes that would not fit in his drawer. I like the color and the size, it was definitely a two person job because the center bars continuously fell apart as I tried to add additional storage cubes. I had put everything on it and then had to take it off to re hammer some parts because it came apart (this happened twice). It hasn’t caused any trouble after the second fix so hopefully no issues here on out. Instructions were not helpful. Extremely brief, I recommend instructions that will be effective and EFFICIENT. I like this bookshelf. It took a while to assemble as I was hoping it would end up a cube but only assembled like in the picture. It has more character that way I guess. It is sturdy enough for my needs. I ended up liking it better than I did when the package arrived! Don’t judge it until it is assembled. It does have good value for the money. I was expecting a pretty good shelf that I could use for my sons toys...well it's very cheap made material and they send you very very poor instructions!!!I ordered 2 of these shelves.once I get the first one together and see how well it holds up I'll decide if I want to send the other one back.Again it's super cheap materials..one of the fabric shelves already ripped!that is such a huge disappointment but I guess you get what you pay for..these should be like 15 or 20 dollars if you ask me!I bet you could find something way better at a dollar store!if your planning on putting heavy items on this shelf DONT.it is good for kids toys or stuffed animals or books but not anything heavy in my opinion.another con to this is that the middle fabric shelves dont reach all the way to the end so it looks kinda tacky and things could fall between sections.I am not completely unsatisfied but just a bit disappointed of the quality and cheapness..If your looking for something stylish or sturdy for your home do not buy this. ... show more
