I found this puzzle rather difficult to assemble. I actually went to their website - and I needed their instruction with photos, with a step by step approach in order to assemble it. I cant believe this puzzle is "level one." I can only imagine what the more difficult puzzles are like. I also gave this as a gift to a young lady, about 13 years of age and she assembled it in quickly without any help. Easy Peasie for her. Not me. I likenthe product as a whole.. now that it's finished. Had to watch a video to get the peices in order. Tried to go to the website... no luck there. It would be better if it at least came with a diagram of the peices with numbers at least. There was a YouTube video that helped greatly. That's the reason I give 4 stars. Also... the last peice had to be sanded just a touch. But all in all... I am satisfied. Just took a lil doing to get it done. Would I get again? Yes. Just that now I know what to expect now... maybe the brown one this next time? Lol take care ... show more

Saw one person's review who said it took them an hour and a half. I wasn't even close. I had to walk away some days and revisit with fresh eyes. After a little bit you start to get the hang of it. It does get a little easier. But you do have to use your brain and powers of observation very keenly. Having the right lighting seemed to be key for me. It definitely was challenging and I highly recommend it. I have a penguin and baby penguin puzzle set coming next. I'm looking forward to that. If you take away the platform the key and the post that holds it all together, there's actually only 39 pieces. You'd think it would go up in a snap, but it does not I'm here to tell you. I highly recommend it if you'd like a challenge. Plus it looks pretty when you're all done and can put it on the shelf. I'm hooked. NOTE: I too put down a dark towel to work on it as it made the pieces easier to see. ... show more

If your vision isn’t that great I wouldn’t suggest the owl, also good lighting is helpful. It’s super fun but I had to look up instructions it’s not included in the box
