  • The Perfect Puzzle
Style: Slider
I’ve owned and enjoyed many puzzles over my lifetime. Hanayama has been my go-to for beautiful, brilliant, inexpensive puzzles. I picked this one up because it looked unique and this thing just ticks all the boxes. It is truly a masterclass in puzzle design and execution. It’s compact, well made and challenging while not impossible or too frustrating. Once it ‘clicks’, it is incredibly satisfying and endlessly repeatable and ‘fidgetable’. It’s everything I look for in a puzzle. ... show more

  • Most fidgetable puzzle I've had
Style: Coil
What I love about this puzzle is that casually looking at it gives you almost no feedback as to how close you are to completing it. Even looking very closely it's very difficult to understand what options you have. So its visual feedback is hard to get, but the tactile feedback is incredible. The way the pieces are molded makes the turning and moving extremely satisfying, and fidgeting with it gives you more information than you can get by looking at it. Even after solving it, it's still fun to play with and it's become my go-to ADHD fidgeter. ... show more

  • GREAT PRODUCT ! ! ! ! YOU WON'T STOP WITH JUST ONE ! ! ! !

This is an extremely well made, beautifully done puzzle. Congratulations. Perfectly done from top to bottom. You won't be disappointed. Design, price, material, packaging. All first class. Makes a great keepsake. I was so impressed, I bought several and gave them as gifts. So many are so cute and challenging I had to buy them for myself too. I have a collection now and will repeat this review for all of them. They are just fabulous for busy hands and curious minds. Put them on your desk and coffee table. People can't help but pick them up. They look like they'll last for ever. Again, you will not be disappointed with this product. My bet, you will end up buying more than one ! ! ! ! ... show more

Solved in a couple of hours

  • Fabulous!
Style: Coil
A wonderful little puzzle. At first it seemed impossible, but eventually I got to the stage where I could take it apart and put it back together again in just a few seconds. Embarrassingly, that whole process took a total of three or four hours. It sure makes me wonder what sorts of skills are required to solve such puzzles quickly the first time. I am also left pondering what sort of mind can design such puzzles, and how those puzzles can be manufactured so well. Equally fascinating is the fact that my disassembly-assembly time is now fastest when I don't really think about the process; thinking about the individual steps just slows me down. ... show more

  • Fun to do but needed some epoxy after a while of use.
Style: Coil
A very nice puzzle and fun to do. The only downside I had with mine is that the two puzzle pieces separated with use. I simply epoxied the factory joints back together and it is good as new.

  • Well designed. Nice addition to my collection.
Style: Coil
This was super inexpensive. Great deal for a Hanayama puzzle. I'm addicted to these things. This will be my 30th puzzle from them. Kind of tricky at first. I kept getting back to the solved state over and over. Finally, after 20 minutes, I solved it. Or, unsolved it? It's a very tight puzzle to get started and clicks into place when solved. Be careful when first trying to push the pieces apart. When it finally let go, I pinched my thumbnail in the process. A little painful. ... show more

  • First move needed a lot of force
Style: Coil
This is the first Hanayama puzzle i have been disappointed with the construction. I could not get the puzzle to move at first then i read that the first requires force. Children would not be able to nake the first move on mine. After solving the puzzle i took a flat file and filed all the inside edges of rough edges. Now it moves freely. I liked the puzzle and shape in fairness to the puzzle idea. ... show more
