I recently decided to try out this toy for my indoor feline companion, and I must say, it's been quite the hit in our household. My cats are more scared of this toy, and don’t chase it like I was hoping they would. It would be better if it was a remote control toy because it sometimes won’t stop. I like that it doesn’t get stuck in corners or against walls—it has the ability to turn itself around. However, it has gotten stuck under our sofa.     • I cracked the cat toy code!! (haven't seen it or the instructions for 6 months}

The media could not be loaded. Ok so it's pretty resilient actually. I bought it about 7 months ago and the elderly cats didnt play with it at all. I charged it and turned it on a few times for the first week then it got lost ,couldnt find it, and I forgot about it. My daughter rescued a cat which has issues to say the least its insane. I went looking a few days ago and found this toy in the spot it kept going to when I first got it. It was in a hidden vent under a cabinet about 3ft out of sight , why it kept finding that spot I don't know. (this will tell you how to stop it from running all over and getting lost) I charged it back up and it died pretty quickly then I charged it again and turned it back on , this kitten has a blast with it. I think I cracked the code also. One push turns it on then two make it run a little differently. HOWEVER if you do a long hold on the button from the off position maybe 3-5 seconds it will turn on the lights and just sit there till a cat hits it then it will stay in that location and just flop back and forth and not move all over the house , thats a good feature! When I opened the box, the toy felt solid and the tires seemed to be of good quality. In the long run I cannot really speak to its longevity as other reviews reacted negatively towards. I didn't detect a quality issue with the attachment rods either. In fact, they are so well made that they make on heck of a racket on a hard floor!! That thing flipped so fast and hard I was sure it would break off yet never did. Once, one of my cats got a little too curious about it when it was still for a moment, then it started flipping and smacked him a good one on the nose! Needless to say, he didn't want anything to do with it after that. I think the biggest issue is it wouldn't move beyond a 4 foot triangle. I would turn it on and it would move forward a few feet, stop, spin around, move another few feet, flip and spin, move another few feet and stop right where it started. This was in a wide open area. I would pick it up and move it and I swear it would go right back to the same position from where I picked it up!! There is one spot in the adjoining room where, when it did move beyond that triangle, it would keep getting stuck. This ONE SPOT, repeatedly! It's as if it was trying to irritate me by seeking that spot out at least once each time it was turned on! The description of the toy mentions it will "unstick" itself, however, in my experience, that is not accurate. Like a similar toy, if there was only a way to control the toy with an app, it could be so much better. But for the money there is little value and more frustration than anything else. ... show more
