  • Using it for dying clothes
4 stars because it will work perfectly fine for my use, however it came with a twisted lid, effectively making it not usable for cooking since it won’t seal. I tried flattening it and got no where. But since I’m just using it to dye clothes, all good for me.

  • Not a 20 quart pot
Details: Pot was shipped from Miami, Fl in good condition. The sticker on the pot says Made in India. A tip for removing the big sticker on the side of the pot. Use a hair dryer to heat it as you pull it off. The sticker has some plastic in it, and so by softening it, mine came off perfectly without ripping It is made of stainless steel, I did a magnet test and it is completely non magnetic. The bottom was flat and sits on my ceramic top stove fine. One short section of the lid edge was bent over slightly but was an easy fix with a pair of channel locks. All the rivets were tight on the lid and handles. The pot metal is thin but not a problem. The lid feels thinner than the body but it sits on the pot ok without being warped. Using a 1 quart measuring device I filled the pot with water to the rim. It does not hold 20 quarts, it only holds 17 quarts to the rim You may be able to fill it to 16 quarts and not have the liquids too close to the rim, but on a rolling boil, 16 quarts may be too much. I will be using it to mix up mashes for home brewing and this pot is just fine for that. Overall the pot will work for my needs but the seller needs to change the description to 17 quart pot and stop misleading the buyers At this price you get what you pay for. ... show more

  • Good pot
Lid is a little flimsy, but i bought it for the pot anyway. For my needs it worked perfect

  • Works Great!
I like this pot. I bought it to heat water on the stove to bathe with because city water irritates my skin. I harvest water from a local mountain spring and heat it on the stove. It is not very heavy, so I am able to transport a large amount of water to the bathtub without much difficulty. Some in other reviews have said that it is a flimsy pot. I think that it is quite durable. I have been quite rough with it at times, and it has no dents or marks. Some have also said that it is hard to remove the sticker that comes on the pot. My sticker came right off. As for cooking, I prefer to only cook with ceramic and/or surgical stainless steel. Since I only use it for heating water the bathe in, it suits my needs great! ... show more

  • Great for brining and cooking
Bought this to brine a 16lbs Turkey. Works great and has more than enough room. Ended up using it to make Turkey soup afterwards. No complaints from me, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Edit: Dropped a star because after brining an 18lbs turkey this year, the pot was leaking from both of the handles. It is a good pot, but it just barely fit the turkey. We had to leave the pot in the sink over night and tape the lid down to keep it covered. ... show more

  • Cover warped
Cover didn't hold shape for very long

  • Good for beer brewing, but be a bit careful with it
I'm using this to brew beer. It's stainless steel, which is what is needed. I'm knocking off a star for the fact that it the metal is fairly thin. Only way I can describe this is - if I were to put my hands on either side and squeeze not even that hard, I would crush it like a soda can. Seriously. On the other hand, it's a third of the price of the more expensive competing products. So, if you can be careful with it, this will probably suit you just fine for your brewing needs, or even large stock pot needs. ... show more

  • Great value and very good product for my needs!
I ordered two of these brew pots. I live off grid completely and must heat water for dishes and for washing clothing. I needed a large pot that would heat water fast but not be too heavy to carry. These fit the bill for me! Lightweight and roomy these guys give me hot water within minutes so I can get on with my day. Going off grid means that everything takes longer with more to do than most people. Cutting off time is essential and these pots help do that easily. They don't look so great coming out of the box but once washed they look great. I'm glad I bought two. The price was terrific for the size as well. ... show more
