High quality materials and very sturdy. Photos show seat with and without arms. Purchased for my 92 YO mother that is coming to visit. The current toilet is only 14" high so it would have been impossible for her to use this. This design is sleek and beautiful. The arms come out so you can have a normal looking toilet if you do not always need the arms. We will keep the seat on (it was easy to install by the way) after my Mom leaves as it is much more comfortable and higher which we like. I was searching for this for my mother. I needed to raise her toilet height and provide grab bars. She can not mount grab bars on her walls around her toilet. I also thought she would appreciate the bidet feature. Most toilet risers I have seen with built in grab bars seem bulky with plastic that feels like it would hold germs. They also usually have a small toilet seat opening and don't fit without some wobble. This product met all our needs with a large opening that looks like a standard toilet seat and is easy to reach in for wiping yourself if needed. The water temperature without a heating feature was not that cold or shocking. It is nice that you can adjust the force of the bidet spray. I love that the riser hinges to lift up for cleaning the toilet. It was easy to install and there were no leaks even without using the teflon tape provided. I left the washer in place as it arrived in the T valve and there were no leaks. There was some spraying out the side initially but I had to remind my mother not to move around much while using the bidet. The splash guard works well for a female user. Overall an excellent value and quality especially if you consider buying these three features (riser, grab bars and bidet) separately. ... show more

We had an existing bidet on our toilet and developed a need for a seat riser due to my husband's medical condition. I was not able to find a riser that would accommodate the bidet which I was loathe to give up, so I was so very happy to find this item. It is very solid and sturdy with absolutely no wiggle and the bidet works well. I was able to easily install it myself and I'm not the handiest person in the world. Two things keep it from being perfect. The first is the large gap in the front which allows urine to leak out and drip down the front of the toilet onto the floor. It is sometimes hard to position someone with certain medical problems in order to avoid this happening. The other is the inability to change the position of the spray which I was able to do with the old bidet. That being said, I am happy that this exists and the benefits outweigh the negatives. Unlike the CcBello, this one works as advertised! Easy to install- wife did it. Very stable, fits the bowl and keeps everything in the bowl. Easy to get on and off - Unlike the CcBello that had no arms for an aide, and it is well made and designed. I'm incontinent so I'm up every 4 hours so it gets a lo t of use. I am a physical therapist and have worked with many people who needed a raised toilet seat. In my experience, either the raised seats were unstable, uncomfortable to sit on, or the seat/hole was too small and things got messy. Now that my own mother needed a raised seat, I began my search. Initially I was unimpressed with the Bemis toilet seat because it was so expensive. I read the negative reviews and basically decided not to try it. I eventually went to my local medical supply store that carried them and sat on one and saw how it worked. I came home and ordered one. It was easy to install. It is comfortable, like sitting on a regular toilet seat. I have plenty of room to do my necessities (elongated seat). It is sturdy, nice to lift up and clean. I have not had the issue with things splashing out. I did find the arm rests to be cold when my bare legs touched them. I fixed this by wrapping them with grip tape, problem solved. I would highly recommend this toilet seat. I plan on keeping it after my mother passes, I am sure I will need it for myself in the future! ... show more
