My last IPhone was the 6s before upgrading to a 12. Of course headphone jacks all disappeared with manufacturers forcing everyone to spend more money on expensive wireless headphones. The output voltage is extremely high and makes most earbuds painful to use, even at the lowest volume possible. At the highest volume, my earbuds can be used as portable speakers. The reduce loud audio doesn't work for making it bearable, as the adapter is not detected under "lightning adapters" in settings. The audio quality is OK.
