I just started my journey into cosmetics about a month ago and I struck gold when I stumbled upon this kit. I was overwhelmed by all the blushes, eye shadows, lip colors, concealers, brushes, etc. on the market. I really didn’t know where to begin. So I was excited and relieved to find a kit with every thing I needed to explore and experiment with different colors and looks. This set has been beyond amazing for me! Even though I have yet to use all the make up brushes; they appear to be good quality. They have worked well in applying and blending to help me achieve a few simple looks. I haven’t experienced in shedding and even after I have used and cleaned them; they are still soft and fluffy. I think the brush handles are plastic but they feel nice and comfortable in my hands. The make up case is compact and does a great job displaying all of the color options. However, when you extend the legs of the case; its a bit wobbly so I choose to keep the legs retracted. Also, I wish this case had a third drawer or an extra compartment to store the few loose items that was included in the kit. Overall, the case serves its purpose and it is travel friendly. I put the make up case next to a 5x7 picture frame and they are a perfect match in size. The case is fairly flat so it could easily fit in your carry-on bag with your favorite book. I am in awe with the assortment of neutral and bold colors, the glittery textures, and learning different make up techniques. These colors are beautiful and as a woman of color, I am happy to have so many options. This kit is especially helpful in guiding me to colors that I like and work best with my skin tone. It has also proven to be cost-effective for me. As I make future purchases; my choices are more focused and I don’t find myself wasting money on trying out a lot of random colors. This enormous color palette has helped shape and define my preferences. And yes, this kit is a great value and I highly recommend it. ... show more

We got this for my daughter to use with CosPlays and every day makeup wear. It arrives boxed and would be easy to gift. It is about the same quality as the sets you can buy on the black friday sales at super centers or discount department stores. It is not the same quality you get at available make up counter, department stores. The collections is quite extensive. We tested it out on my daughter. She used several brushes and colors to achieve the look she wanted. The colors are a bit muted when applied but do show up. The applications are smooth when using the right brush. The cream shadow goes on easily but is also a bit muted in color. The creams are more visible than the powdered colors. One BIG misstep here, is that there is no storage for all the brushes and the extras. There could have been another tray on the bottom to neatly include those. I would probably buy it again for a makeup beginner, but would look for a set that all stores together first. ... show more
