I bought this for a gift to my 10 year old on Christmas. I believe it arrived several days before the estimated delivery date and was packaged nicely. My daughter was so excited to open this (and she initially thought it was only a case for her quickly growing collection!). You should’ve seen her face when I told her all the makeup pictured on the box was included inside lol. She opened and tested every item and seemed very pleased! The way it is packaged in the case leads you to believe that the entire case is full of makeup, but it was only the pieces shown on each of the 4 sides. I will admit to that clever marketing, though! However, I do feel like maybe I could’ve gotten a similar kit for a little less money, but without actually shopping around and testing quality vs pricing, my statement doesn’t carry much weight. In the end, I am very satisfied with my purchase and my daughter seems very happy! Also, from what I’ve seen of her trying pieces here and there, the pigments are pretty true to package representation and the colors seem to blend well, which is especially important for a beginning starting out practicing! And my initial disappointment of the case not actually being full turned out to leave just enough room in the case for the makeup items she already owned, which means less space to take up and that makes a happy mom! ... show more

In the never ending battle of girls they all try to get crap the other don’t , this includes boys . My daughter opened this up to no fan fare . But after the gifts were gone so was my youngest up the stairs . Dads serves the roast beast promptly at noon . When she arrived so we could celebrate, we celebrated how good she looked , even the tomboy said she looked good, but the give away came when she tried to ack coy or stand off ish, like she wanted to be bell of the ball. I read previous reviews about this item. I can say that they probably had their expectations way higher than the average, I guess, because when I received this, all the make-up was not dried up, it was excellent. It was better than I honestly expected it to be. I mean, it's obviously sample sizes and it's a bit of everything you need. It's great for a gift of say, a young lady entering womanhood, or great for a lady who needs a little make-up for a confidence boost. I love all of it. The lipstick isn't too sticky or chapsticky'ish, which is why I normally hate lipstick. This stuff is great for the person who doesn't like lipstick. The lip gloss is great too, no complaints. Nail polish was beautiful after applied. Eye shimmer, again beautiful and no complaints. Eye shadows, again, no complaints. Honestly, I do not have one bad thing to say about any of it. I wanted to use this as a crown case. There are multiple dimensions listed and I hoped/it looked like it would work for one. Room for a crown on one side and rolled up sash beside it. Based on other reviews and the fact that we already have a lot of good makeup, I tossed all the make up. It does not appear to be super sturdy, so I wouldn't think it would be great for regular use or a lot of travel. It is ALMOST the right size for what I want, but sadly a little small for most crowns.
