I ordered the XL (A4) Dartmouth green notebook: it is awesome! High quality. Excellent binding. Looks absolutely amazing. Paper is excellent - and works really well with fountain pens too. I use these type notebooks a lot and this is first time trying the Beechmore brand. It's my new favourite brand. The A4 size is perfect for my use, and I enjoy that the line rule isn't too narrow like other brands. The paper is perforated, so pages can be removed if desired. I don't know that I need that feature, but the perforations aren't noticeable ... so if you do not want to remove pages, that feature won't be a problem. If you are gifting this, it comes in a very nice box lined with tissue paper. Highly recommend!! ... show more

From the substantial covers. to the heavy, lined pages and larger sizes (8 1/2 X 11 ins) these books are perfect for me. I have large writing, so these large pages and spaced lines work well for my Journalling. It had a mildew smell to it. I had to spray disinfectant all over it then the smell went away after a few days. After getting passed all that it is a nice notebook
