  • Great Eco Friendly Idea, But
Love the idea behind these bees wax wraps, but since they are not transparent, I didn't remember what was in each and I had more food spoilage than normal. You also have to be careful not to cover hot foods or wash in warm water or the wax melts.

  • Wax came off. Update - they're like brand new again.
I wanted to write and update my review. I emailed the company who promptly replied and let me know that I must have exposed them to heat. They recommend putting the wraps in the oven for a few minutes at low temp and this totally renewed the wraps to their original state. I'm very satisfied. I love the idea of these beeswax food wrappers and started to enthusiastically use them once I received them. I really liked them initially and still do, but unfortunately the wax on the two that I use most frequently has "pilled" and is coming off making for a bit of a sticky unpleasant wrap. I followed all care instructions as described so I don't know why this has happened but am very disappointed as I would love ot keep using them. The wraps that I use less frequently are fine. Sadly my return window has passed and so I'm stuck with them. ... show more

  • I am basically an eco-Guru now.
I was turned onto these by my eco-friendly friend. She is really quite a lovely person, but apparently she has been secretly judging my ziploc usage for months now. One day, her turmoil just bubbled over and she said, “OMG Becca, the storage bags. The petroleum, the chemicals. Why??????” I sort of live under a rock and was all “huh?” So she told me storage bags suck and I should try this reusable bees wax wrap. At first, I was like, seriously amiga? $42 for some Wiki-Stick paper? Is she for real? But then I did the math and it turns out that, annually, these are wayyyyyy cheaper than all those bags. And, I mean, I’ll never give up my gas-guzzling SUV so I really should be ok spending $42 to save the earth. So I bought them. I’m now obsessed. Fact. They smell good, they’re fun, I wrap up snacks with them, cover bowls, I take them to work, and my son wraps up all sorts of edible crap for our fridge. I’ve really come around. And best part is when I see someone now with a storage bag, I can be all smug and say “enough already, you earth destroyer” and show them my beeswax solution. Win. ... show more

We love these and use them every day.

  • Convenient and better for the planet
These are my favorite wax wraps so far. They’re the right thickness to be workable almost immediately and stay securely wrapped all day. The bread sized one is perfect for a rustic loaf. We’ve found that the other sizes are convenient for our take to work lunch items too, including the smallest which is ideal for a cookie or crackers and the medium sized for a sandwich. It’s easy to fold them up and bring home and no guilt about plastic usage! I’m grateful to the company for its thoughtful design. (Some other makers’ versions were thick and tended to crack - but that was a couple of years ago). ... show more

Recycle reduce reuse...Im happy that I'm saving the earth from the hundreds of sandwich plastic bags that i would have used. Don't wash with very hot water you may melt away the wax on the wrap. I use the wraps for my husbands daily lunch pack. He really likes to wrap chips in one. I showed him how to gather the corners and make a basket for the chips. The heat of your fingers does seal the wrap nicely. So far we've been using them for one year and they are in great shape. They do fray on the edges but i just cut the strings. I don’t know why other reviewers point out that there is a sticky residue. I don’t find that the case. It feels naturally waxy. Love how it sticks together with only the warmth of my fingers. I use plant based and warm dish soap. They dry quickly. It’s been a 1 1/2 yr. now. Still going strong! ... show more

  • I like them...not sure how they compare to other brands
These are the first beeswax wraps I have bought. They work well, but there are a few downsides. They are not easy to clean. You can only rinse in cold water and lightly sponge them. Soap makes the wax coating start to wear away. Mine are quite sticky and I use them on veggies and bowls, but the wax only sticks to itself. They do have a subtle beeswax/honey smell, but it does not alter the flavor of foods. ... show more
