*Update 2: Three years later and I own two of these fleecy versions and four of the regular. My friend mentioned in this review gifted them to six people in her family for that same Christmas. They all loved it. All of them have held their color perfectly and are as soft as always, even after three years of washing. AND - as if by a miracle of Christmas Magic - they added CHRISTMAS-Y/WINTRY PATTERNS. I then ordered him a light blue one (as an early Christmas gift, to keep him warm while he waits for Santa), which is a good thing because the second night he told her, I'm just gonna borrow your blanket for one more night, okay Grandma? And how could she say no to that? So he was delighted when the next day his own blanket arrived in his very favorite color. Although he did make a point of telling me he likes green, too. So a green one would be okay. You will feel like you're sleeping in Santa's bed with this thing. It belongs in the North Pole. It makes me believe in Santa and the magic of Christmas, because really there is no other possible explanation for anything so cozy and soft and perfect. I want a red one. And a purple one. Did I mention that all of this has transpired in under a month? And I've got two more friends who want one. SEE? It should come with a warning label that says: Caution... everyone you know will want this blanket. Buy this blanket. You know you want to. You know you want to feel enveloped in its cozy embrace. The colors on this blanket are really nice and vibrant and the blanket is super soft and very cozy - even after many washes. I got it as a gift from my elderly mother and she loved it so much that I had to get her another one so she never did without it when it was in the wash. Not too hot, but she was warm in all seasons - she liked to pull it up over her head and quit using a top sheet. To rephrase, this is a new product for my son, who has level 3 autism and had a similar blanket, different brand, no longer available, which was heavier weighted and he destroyed due to a meltdown related to his autism 😢 He absolutely LOVED that blanket!!! I went out on a limb, praying this blanket would work as a replacement because he has been devastated since he destroyed his other blanket. He is 100% nonverbal, but in an instant, I knew his heart was happy with this blanket!!! The moment he saw this blanket on his bed, he looked at me with the most shocked 😳 expression, then back at the blanket, then he grabbed the blanket, put it to his face, rubbed it all over his face, and with silent tears he gave his blanket a loving kiss and hug, drug it off of his bed, and it has gone with him literally everywhere since the moment he saw it!!! It is so very soft and warm yet breathable so it is very comforting while not making you overheat. There are a variety of colors sure to please literally everyone. It feels like the most loving, gentle embrace you’ll ever receive when you wrap yourself up in it. I just do not have enough words, or even the correct words to tell you how amazing this blanket truly is!!!
