I purchased this for my daughter's loft bed so that she can have a drink while she's up in her bed without getting down, or to set her phone on. She loves it and it has been very helpful. it's very sturdy and easy to install. You can see the screws that affix it to the bed because it's installed outwardly, but that would be the case with any product like this.
