  • easy to use, does it's job, really heavy though
Style: Hair Waver
works exactly as described and creates a wave quickly without having to keep the heat on my hair too long. In less than 10 minutes I can get all of my hair done. It is heavy though, by the time im done, my arm aches from holding it up lol.

  • Great and easy to use!
Style: Hair Waver
I love this! It works super well, and has clear instructions. It heats up quickly and curls quickly too! I may also love the fact that it is purple and that may be part of why I bought it, but I have zero regrets! Love it. The adjustable sizes make the style different every time!

  • Works well but no lock
Style: Hair Waver
I have to say this waving iron works great. I like that has adjustable depth for the waves, but I do have to say it’s strange that there’s no ability to lock the device shut so it’s always in an open position. This makes it fairly obnoxious to store other than that, it’s a good idea.

  • My favorite, my lifesaver, my 🦄 hair tool! Hair stays cute & Shakira-esque for DAYS
Style: Hair Waver
Absolutely LOVE 💜 this Bed Head crimper! I know there’s still a small amount of a strange stigma around using a crimper “wave” heated-hair tool. I think some people automatically think 80s/90s crazy crimped teased wild hair or depending on age, it’s come-back in the 2000s. BUT, this tool is most definitely NOT that! It doesn’t give that tight wave that is the “crimp” but more of a relaxed wave in comparison. It it still going to give more than a beachy-wave for sure but what i also like it the sizing of the wave is adjustable. I will admit that it may seem more adjustable than it truly is; you twist the round black knob at the tip and it either pushes the middle piece of the plate on the tool inwards (smaller waves) or outwards (larger waves). To be honest adjusting the knob doesn’t make a huge difference: what really makes the difference of how you use it! If you want smaller, more waves closer together, when you have your piece of hair, starting from the scalp, when you’re working your way down, simply place the plate closer to where your last spot that you held it on was. And vice versa, if you want the largest wave possible, which is what I like, set the knob so it sticks out the most it can, and again, always starting at scalp, grab a piece of hair that is approx 1”-2” max in “width” (you don’t want it to be a strand of hair like you’d grab to curl, more like when you’re straightening your hair, you don’t want a thick piece of hair) and place it with your hair spread evenly in between the two hot plates, starting as close to the scalp as possible but of course be very careful to not burn your hands fingers scalp etc etc etc!!!!! Clamp down on the strand and hold for a few seconds. The tool does have heat setting options which is awesome! We all know to avoid major hair damage we need to use the lowest possible heat setting that works for our hair type. I happen to have have hair that unfortunately needs high heat or 5 minutes after I do my hair it falls completely flat. The highest setting is what I use but be warned is it extremely hot! Not as hot as some professional heat tools I’ve used but still very hot. After holding the iron clamped together for a few seconds you unclamp, and I suggest lightly (because your hairs hot) holding the clump of hairs you’re working on, loosely towards the end of the hairs, that way as you’re moving down down the strands, when you unclamp, the hairs won’t fall in and be mixed in with your other, non-wavey hairs. Where you choose to place the plates on the second time and so on as you move down the scalp, will produce either more loose waves or tighter more crimp-esque waves; to get the most loose, most “soft” waves, place the end of the plate so that it starts on the last area the plate touched on the first clamp. You’ll keep doing so, moving down the strands working from scalp to tip. I will post pictures. Best parts of this tool is that it’s a great tool where you don’t need to be perfect because it looks great no matter where you place the plates really! It’s meant to look natural and wavy and wild Shakira-like! And also it stays for DAYS! I personally only wash my hair approximately 2x a week. I’ll wash my hair on Sunday night, let it air dry, use a light, doesn’t leave any tho of residue type of heat protectant in the morning Monday, use the waver tool and with a small amount of dry shampoo worked in, and my hair will last 3-4 days depending on my workout schedule lol. I’m able to sleep, wake up, brush it, dry shampoo if needed, tousle tousle and flip my head around and it looks great on days 2,3 & 4. Another great way to use this is also a half up do, loose ponytail, loose side bun, loose braids of any type or a top knot/bun. It my hairstyle 🦄 tool! My favorite styling tool: my lifesaver, 🦄 tool! Because of the shape there is no flat side on this so there is no way to lay it down without burning your counter and the cord is super short it's hard to curl your hair without enough length. On the upside it does make beautiful waves

  • wave hair iron
Style: Hair Waver
Wow. This wave iron is amazing. Let's get to it. I could have included pics, but honestly, there are a lot of examples of that already. I have fairly thick hair, with medium course texture - natural dark blonde, about shoulder length. The handle is a combo of purple metal and black plastic. The on and off switch and the temp guides are inside the pinch of the handle. VERY, very smart. I don't how many times I've used my regular curling iron and turned it off over and over again because the switches are placed exactly where you hold the iron - even on my flattening iron. So bonus on the well placed switches. There is a twist knob on the other end of the iron that allows you basically change the dimension/pattern of your wave... they can be more uniform, or more wild depending on the middle wave iron. There are three barrels as you can see in the diagram. The cord is long and convenient with the most important "swivel." It has 6 heat settings 250 degrees up to 400 degrees. Now, let's talk heat - it gets HOT. I would recommend using the lowest heat and testing one step at a time to find the level that doesn't fry your hair - especially if you have color treated or chemically processed hair. Lower heat, for just few seconds at the very most is all it takes. I have a pretty full head of hair and I was done in about 15 minutes. The other thing to note about the heat part is that the iron works on a "pinch" system as you would guess.. there are 2 barrels that are completely open and branding hot. So BE CAREFUL! I accidentally burned my left thumb pretty good - happens so fast! I purchased the "suggested" hot glove - I now use it every single time I use this iron. And be careful when you get close to your skin, around your face. Having fully covered the safety suggestions, I will say that the waves I did lasted 4 days (I wanted to see how far I could go) and probably would have lasted longer with NO other products in my hair. The finer strands around my face needed a slight touch up, but the rest totally stayed wavy! It was sort of like getting a wave perm or something. I was amazed. I don't get greasy looking hair, but you could use a dry shampoo to extend wear to a day or two easily. The wave "action" gives you body and fullness - like a crimper iron - but so much softer. I have "sold" so many of these in the last few days - so many people asking if I'd had a perm... what salon did my hair... and when I told them about the wave iron, where can I get one?? I've purchased sooo many hair "tools" in my life... but this is honestly one of my favs. Just remember to use extreme caution when it gets hot with the open barrels .. and use lowest temps - going up one step at time to find the perfect temp for your hair type. Don't leave on one spot too long and you'll be amazed at the result and then the staying power of the do! Having said all those things, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I will be ordering another one for travel soon. Would be out of this world if they included a heat proof sleeve! ... show more
