  • Feels Like Brand New
Color: Black
I have been using AirPod (gen 2) and a Plantronics (PLT_Legend) as well as some USB connected headphones by Logitech for my conference calls. I am used to working at home, but since everyone has been restricted to staying at home in NYC, my neighbor has been extremely loud during his phone calls with friends and perhaps colleagues. He is singing to them at full voice a lot, and while he is fine at singing, he can go for 8 hours without stopping. I have been considering a set of noise canceling headphones and my priority has been wireless lately. I have a mix of computers and devices but my work computer is Windows 10 and my phone and tablet are IOS. I had tried out the Solo Pro's at an Apple store when they came out, but 299 seemed like a lot at the time, so when I saw the 'renewed' offer from Amazon I was intrigued, and made the purchase. I am reviewing these based on my experience of one day of use so I will update when necessary. The headphones came in a generic box (inside of an amazon shipping box) and everything was bubble wrapped effectively. The package included the headset, a charging cable, the carrying case, stickers, and a folded quick guide. When I started them up, the headsets would not instantly pair, but I looked up how to reset them (10 second press on the mode and volume down button) and they immediately worked correctly to sync with my IPhone and my IPad. I was also able to easily pair them with my Windows machine. Sound quality has been very good. I have a pair of Seinhauser headphones for music recording purposes which are probably better but for a wireless headset these have a nice sound. As noted by others, they are more neutral than Beats have been historically known. I listened to music and watched some streaming video and the quality was better than my AirPods. For teleconferencing, they performed perfectly. I have had no issue and switching between my devices has been relatively quick. The H1 chip links to my IPhone XS very quickly, and relatively fast on my IPad Pro (first gen) as well as Windows 10 laptop. No issues there. There is no software/app that pairs with these. Active Noise Canceling/Transparent Mode changes can be made with the mode button or by selecting the volume widget in the control center (click it and a little control panel pops up with mode and volume). I only knew that because I am used to IOS's relatively undocumented interfaces, but it is useful to know since you can't entirely tell which mode you are in. ANC worked really well. I have a mechanical keyboard and when I am using Noise Canceling, it is muffled. Normally there are sharp clicks. My neighbor has been almost entirely silenced. Transparent mode changes the sound quality substantially, although it is not 100% of the sound without the head sets. I think it works properly for what it is for. You can't adjust levels of ANC as you might with some headsets. Also you can't adjust equalization of the headsets themselves. Comfort wise, they feel like headsets always do. They press against my ears and eventually I need to take them off to get a break, but I have had them on for several hours both seated and cooking in the kitchen, and found them comfortable for on ear type. I can't vouch for battery charge timing, but I haven't run close to emptying them. Since I often run out of charge on my Airpod during an hour phone call, I am encouraged by that. I like that they use lighting cables to charge as I have several of these around my house and always travel with them. Others may find it annoying. Range is definitely better than either my Plantronics (which connect to a BT300M widget) and my Airpods. Places where normally I have drop out are still getting strong signal with almost no breakup. Even when there is a little cutout they don't lose connection and return to full performance without any glitch. My partner tried them on and now she is asking to borrow them. She found them comfortable and has a smaller head than I do. She liked the sound a lot. If you don't have IOS devices (especially newer ones) you probably would have fewer reasons to get these. At under 200 dollars, I think I have gotten a good deal. Hopefully they will last a while. They seem well made. ... show more

  • Amazing sound: case included, Bluetooth
Color: Dark Blue
These are amazing headphones! I needed these to replace my corded beats which are 6 yrs old and still sound amazing but my phone does not have a headphone jack so I can only use them on my computer. The only issue I had was that the charge cable sent with the Bluetooth headphones was defective and needed to be replaced but that was a quick and inexpensive fix. I have an android phone and the app to connect this product is to my phone was idiot proof. Comfortable, amazing sound, long lasting charge, Lightweight, hard case included. ... show more

  • Can't Complain!
Color: Dark Blue
I always like to have two headsets because one can charge while the other is in use. They connected almost immediately, and they sound awesome. I can tune out the world while I listen to my podcasts, audiobooks, or whatever. The noise cancelling on these works better than the brand new one I got a ew years ago! Awesome! ... show more

  • Had better quality from prev beats headphones
Color: Black
They came in 8.5/10 for the condition but i forget i even bought them used after a week. Sound is 8.5/10 on these for me. Could be a hit a bit more.. feels like its a bit low sometimes. The adjustment part slides, does not click like the others ive had. Does not stay on my head while im working out which kind of upsets me. Battery is great and charges fast. Could last a whole day maybe. The metal gets fingerprints on it. These aren't plastic like the others. It was worth what i paid on amazon. Good buy if you need something and it has the noise transparency which i find useful ... show more

  • Great quality, but have a couple problems
Color: Black
First off, the sound. These Beats are the clearest sounding so far, but they have very little bass, so don't expect the typical bassy, full bodied sound that Beats have traditionally had. The ANC is good too, a little "cabin pressure" but not much. I haven't tried transparency mode yet. They are built well and have a metal headband whereas the standard Solos and other Beats have a plastic band. This also causes their biggest flaw though, as they are very tight. They become a little uncomfortable after about 20 minutes, but not too bad. My ears did hurt when I pulled them off after a couple hours though. The ear cups are much firmer than previous beats, and are more uncomfortable. Also, if you have a large head these are probably not for you. They don't have much adjustability. I have a medium large head and to use these they need to be fully extended. I bought these for working out, hence why I bought refurbished. I think these are pretty good on ear headphones for running, but even with the clamping force they have, the headband still wants to fall forward when I look down to pick something up. I was pleasantly surprised that these looked and even smelled brand new, and no dirt or grease came off when I wiped them down with a mildly soapy rag. Overall, for half price at $169 I would recommend them but I think I will be returning them and getting the standard solos. I wouldn't recommend these at the full $300 price though, just get the Studios for $350. ... show more

  • Best purchase ever!
Color: Gray
I was very skeptical when buying these. I read so many mixed reviews but I took my chance. The headphones came in it’s original box with everything sealed. The stickers were all there and untouched. There was no scratch or dent in sight. Update: I have these headphones for over a month now and absolutely love them! Noise cancellation is good. Not the best when at the gym but good enough to hear your music in peace. I have a larger head then most women and was afraid that it would hurt my ears after wearing it for a while but luckily I never experienced any pain or discomfort. Only issue- the sound doesn’t go as loud as I would wish but it’s loud enough where I don’t hear anything or anyone when I have them on. Overall- great product for the price !!!! ... show more
