I've been doing all types of needlework for 60 years now. The are the absolute BEST SCISSORS I've ever used!! (And no, I'm not being paid or getting any kickback from this company for my comments.) For a while now, I've been having a hard time ripping embroidery and needlepoint threads when I want to redo a section of my work. I've tried quite a few other scissors before happening about these. THEY ARE SUPER SHARP and come with hard plastic guards to store them in. The blades are very thin and easily get underneath the thread without cutting the fabric by accident. It comes in a set of two scissors--one with straight blades and one with the blades slightly curved at the tips, that make ripping threads so much easier. I highly recommend these. If you have friends or family members who sew, embroider or needlepoint, you may want to buy a few of these to give as gifts. I assure you, they will be very appreciated! ... show more

These little scissors are perfect for sewing, embroidery or in my case, needle felting. Typically in felting you continue to felt until all the little fibers are tucked in, but sometimes you want a softer object and that means more stray fibers exposed. These scissors were ideal for surface trimming. They are super sharp and get into little spaces with ease. I also appreciate the curved blade for trimming rounded surfaces. The blade covers are a nice addition making them easy to tuck into a tote without worry about reaching in and finding an exposed blade. Nice small scissors set, sharp enough to easily trim threads although they do sometimes shred the ends of my silk threads which I don’t like. Good size if you have relatively small hands but might be tricky if you have larger fingers which is true of most small scissors. I bought these for doing applique and ended up putting the second pair by my sewing machine. Gets into those tight corners and areas where regular scissors can't go. Plus they cut really close to the fabric when snipping those tiny threads. I will buy again.
