  • Odd Cables, Makes Cable Management Challenging
Size: 600W
I’m sure this power supply is excellent with amazing quality, but the 24-pin ATX cable that was included was quite odd, and not suited to my build. It possesses TWO 24-pin motherboard plugs, is exceptionally short, and also has an 8-pin motherboard plug spliced to the end of the line. For some ITX builds where the central chamber isn’t visible, this might now be much of an issue, but it makes cable management a nightmare for cases where you can see (like the Lian Li TU150). I’m currently getting in touch with their customer support to see if they have alternative cables available—I’d rather not have to spend $50 on CableMod (or else return this unit and go with a different brand) when it’s really just one cable that’s so irksome. Will update this review as the situation unfolds. ... show more

  • Works as advertised. PC is a few feet away and cannot hear it.
Size: 600W
It has been working great for about 2 months so far. Got this for my Dell Vostro 3888 because the OEM cpu fan and power supply were too loud. I had to use tin snips to make room in back of the Dell Vostro case but that is only because case is designed for proprietary PSU.

  • Was silent for a few days, then fan developed a knocking noise.
Size: 600W
I paid a bit extra for this "Be Quiet" PSU over other PSUs, because I really want something "silent". I remember several years ago when I purchased a "high end" silverstone PSU, and it was soooo loud. As the title says, it was great for a few days, until it wasn't. It randomly developed a very annoying knocking noise. I think the fan bearing got off-center or something. So time to return it. ... show more

  • Great little power supply
Size: 600W
Excellent quality small form factor power supply. Install was very easy, it’s definitely quiet and the power supplied has been stable. Cables are nice and clean though tight to the motherboard. Now for the bad news and why it gets four stars at this moment: It has stopped working suddenly after two months of usage which is odd, and I’ll update once I get the RMA sorted out. If the RMA process isn’t painful I’ll update the star rating again. I really do like the hardware and hope this was just a fluke. ... show more

  • Seriously quiet
Size: 600W
I bought this PSU to use in a compact ITX case, and the install was very simple aside from the somewhat stiff cables. This didn’t cause any serious fitment issues though. This thing is is seriously quiet, definitely the quietest fan in my system.

  • Killed the motherboard I connected it to
Size: 600W
I debated posting this review under the product because I did purchase it through Amazon Warehouse so it was not a totally new item. But then I translated the one negative review and saw someone else had the same thing happen so thought it worth warning other potential buyers. Amazon Warehouse can always be hit or miss but I've usually had good luck and figure if the deal is good enough why not give it a shot since returns or so easy. As part of my recent upgrade frenzy bought 2 very nice Asus motherboards and they both are working great and came with most or all of the accessories (had everything I needed). Reason for this warning is that even though I haven't done hundreds of builds I've done enough that I'm not a total novice and I didn't know a bad PSU shorting out something on a board was really a thing. Luckily I didn't do the 'test' on a super pricey MB I just ordered. It was an older Gigabyte from when the i7s were first released but still is worth a couple hundred on the used market because it was considered to be one of the truly great overclocking boards from that era. Board had been in use and working perfectly a week earlier but when I plugged this PSU in it went dark. Plugged a known working PSU back into the board (tried 2 actually) and it would get basic power but acted like the 8 pin connector wasn't ... connected. So guess something shorted out related to that. Bought one of the cheap but well reviewed PSU testers from Amazon and after it arrived figured out how to use it on a known good PSU (2 actually) before trying it on the be quiet. When I tried it on the be quiet, just the main board connecter, the PSU clicked then powered off. Don't know if it was a built in protection in the PSU or just the sound of it shorting but, whatever it was, it didn't save my MB. The tester I bought for 15 bucks survived the experience though. Maybe this is something I should have known before but I'll be using that little gadget on any PSU I buy going forward ... just in case. At the 15 or so dollars they cost it's a no-brainer. ... show more

  • high quality PSU
Size: 600W
This little thing feels super high quality. Very silent. Small compact. My only issue is connectors are a bit strange and the main 24pin connector is very short in length.
