I remember these pencils from when I was a child. You never have to worry about a pencil sharpener - and that's a good thing because when you need one, frequently there isn't one. My son is easily distracted, so these pencils lend to finishing homework more quickly. If you break a point, just replace it and move on. I like the fact that I don't have to carry a sharpener around. This is ideal for tests. The lead is thicker and stronger than the mechanical pencils. These are like the normal pencils. I wonder why these haven't become famous.

I bought these for my 7 year old son because he's always breaking the points on regular pencils and we go through so many pencil sharpeners. The points on these pencils are sharp but strong so they don't break when he uses them. I love that they have an eraser in the cap, however the cap falls off very easily - they don't stay on the bottom of the pencil while in use so I foresee a lot of lost caps and erasers. I deducted a star for that design flaw. The price is great for the number of pencils and the quality. We are also using these as filler items in Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. ... show more
