I got these for my cats. I love them! They are real wood and I love the design of the brackets. Super easy to mount. The only thing I don’t like is how narrow they are, meaning sticking out from the wall. Of course, I’m using for cats, so that’s why. I’m sure it’s great for Knick knacks. Pictured is our 8lbs black cat (that’s who the shelves are intended for in hopes he doesn’t prowl the very tops of our kitchen cabinets as often) and the other is 16 lbs (ish). Perfect for the small cat, but the bigger cat would probably need a wider destination to hang out on. I can’t imagine him lounging on these things. I plan to install something wider over our entryway for them to explore someday. I’m trying to think where else I want more of these shelves because I love them and they seem to have coupons somewhat frequently. We are living on one income with 2 kids, so i appreciate the price and the quality. Exceeds expectations. (Sorry if they pix are sideways, they are upright on my phone) ... show more

These are perfect floating shelves. I searched for way too long trying to find something that was sturdy enough to hold multiple liquor bottles, easy to install and wasnt just some cheap nonsense with terrible wood veneer. I almost didnt buy these since they were so cheap but i took a chance and now i want to buy them for every room in my house. The wood is an actual plank of wood. The whole design is so simple a monkey could put the together. I bought the bottom shelves from At Home. Installed them both on the same day and the at home ones were a nightmare to put up in comparison and barely hold a rumor of a paperclip held on them before they buckle seemingly precariously. I fully expect them to fall off the wall. But these i got from amazon are so sturdy i feel like they'll survive an earthquake and a typhoon. Will purchase many more! ... show more

Even though they give the dimensions, they're smaller than I was expecting. That's not the manufacturer's fault, it's mine, but be aware of it before you buy it if you're expecting these shelves to hold anything particularly deep. They're good little shelves, and serve well too put decorations, or books, or something on. Make sure you look at the directions before putting them together, otherwise you might end up installing the brackets backwards like I did. They look like they should be the same on both the wall and shelf part, but they're not. They're made out of a pretty soft wood, which makes them pretty easy to mod, if that's your thing (I was able to use a small, handheld plunge router to make a slot to run some cable through the back of it in about 2 minutes) My only real complaint about this set is that the included wall anchors were pretty cheap. Luckily they included extras, because I destroyed several of them by trying to tap them into my wall. ... show more

I was looking for some shelves to display my figures and other unnecessary merch and these are absolutely perfect. I’m not putting anything heavy on them(I believe they can hold up to 40 lbs), so I’m not worried about them collapsing. This would be pretty unlikely anyway as they come with wall anchors and 2 holes per bracket to make wall mounting more secure. They were fairly easy to assemble and there’s different ways you can put them together. I opted for the bracket underneath the shelf since it looked better and gives more top space for figures and such. Overall worth the price and would recommend for light weight display. ... show more

I love these shelves and my cats are huge fans. They are light but sturdy and easy to install. My cats are average size 8-10lbs. They fit comfortably on each shelf and it holds their weight. I bought both colors dark and light wood. They both look great and add a bit of style to an otherwise empty wall. I’m a single woman with simple tools and a basic drill. It took me less than an hour to assemble the shelves and place them on the wall. I would happily purchase these shelves again over expensive “cat shelves”. I think these could even hold books and other odds and ends if my cats ever get tired of them. ... show more
