  • Small off grid situation
Style: Standard Size: 100Ah 12V
EDIT: Just received my 3rd battery, plan on using that one on its own on a separate solar setup, replacing some CG2 golf cart batteries that are at the end of their lives. As of today, I now own 2 of these batteries, they work great for me. I purchased the first one last summer, I'm using it on a small off grid solar system, not grid tied. I added the second one just today, hooked up in parallel to keep it at 12 volts but now with 200 amp hours. Since these are LiFePO4 batteries, it's OK to add a new battery to one that is nearly a year old. I contacted the good folk at BattleBorn and confirmed it was fine to do and to confirm the best method of tying them together, which is making sure both are charged fully then to make a parallel connection, connect both negatives together, then connect both positives together. These types of batteries are expensive, but if you take into consideration the lifespan of the batteries and the fact that you can use up to 100% of the battery capacity, (though it's still best to not use 100%) these are ultimately a bargain in the long run. One bit of advice, assuming you are using a MPPT charge controller, if you do run the battery down where the internal BMS cuts it off, the MPPT charge controller will not begin to charge the battery if it can't detect the battery, you will need to "jump start" the battery using another power source, we use a portable 12 volt battery jumper, the kind you use to jump start a car battery, once the MPPT charge controller sees some voltage on the battery, it will then allow the battery to be charged. I really like this battery, it's safe, it's reliable, it's lightweight, no maintenance required, it's bulletproof in the sense that you don't have to baby it (don't really shoot it 🤣). ... show more

  • Great value for the money and an ease to configure for my T@B400BD.
Style: Standard Size: 100Ah 12V
As advertised, the lithium battery from Battle Born provides me with a better, longer lasting, battery resource and, with very little effort, it integrated seamlessly with my NuCamp trailer.

  • Durable
Style: Standard Size: 100Ah 12V
I’ve had a battle born in my camper for the last couple of years but am doing longer boondocking and needed more capacity. So I’ve added a second battery. With the longest warranty of 10 years and the ability to use all the batteries power, it makes it perfect for camping in places without power available. ... show more

  • Rock solid!
Style: Standard Size: 100Ah 12V
I know there are cheaper lithium iron phosphate batteries available for RV use, I chose battle born for a few reasons: First, they were responsive to questions prior to purchase while others either didn't respond or gave nonsensical responses. Second, their batteries are designed with many cells, 120 I think, whereas others are usually only 3 cells — if there is a problem with a cell in the battle born it won't be an issue whereas in a 3 cell battery the whole battery is done until that cell is replaced. Third, the design of the cells in the battle born, IMO, seem to be a more solid & stable design especially for those of us changing elevations regularly (a big issue with AGM batteries). When I purchased there was a problem with shipping due to Fed-X. Battle Born customer service was great! They did what was necessary to resolve the problem and get the battery to me asap. The battery has operated flawlessly. I recharge it with two 100 watt solar panels and a Morningstar Tristar PWM — there's a standard setting for 14.4 volts which works perfectly, however I only charge every couple weeks or so therefore I don't use the other stages of the charger. I generally only discharge it about 30%, a couple times below 50% (according to whr use). I wish I would have gone with the battle born lithium from the start instead of wasting money and lots of time & energy messing with AGM and lead acid batteries. Best thing I've ever done for my RV! ... show more

  • Buy it with confidence
Style: Standard Size: 100Ah 12V
I purchased two of these to replace the lead acid coach batteries in a Coachman CrossFit 22D RV. I put them in as direct replacements with no other modifications to the RV. I then reset the solar charger to Lithium. After 6 months I relocated the batteries form outside the coach to inside under the passenger side sofa. they fit perfectly just in front of the water tank and pump. It has been working flawlessly for over a year. My two lead acid batteries, even though brand new, would run the fridge (yes, it’s a DC electric fridge) and a few lights for about 8 hours before being discharged and disconnecting. These batteries last 28 hours and had an unexpected benefit of making the RV ride a little better as they weigh significantly less than the ones they replaced. They are expensive. But, search for the teardown video on YouTube and you will quickly see what you are paying for. These batteries are worth the cost. Battle Born is a US company in Nevada, and I called them. The tech spent quite while on the phone explaining the built in battery monitor. Yes, the individual cells are Chinese made. But they are very high quality Chinses made, and that does make a difference. I am going to buy two more and double my off the grid battery life. Buy this battery with confidence for your solar applications, for you RV, etc. Do not buy it as a starting battery as it is not well suited for that. ... show more

  • Still need new converter
Style: Standard Size: 100Ah 12V
Using my new Victon shunt monitor, I was able to see that my converter charged the battery to 13.7 volts. Even though my current converter will charge the battery up to 13.7 volts, the battery manufacturer said the battery will die prematurely if I don’t have a converter that will charge it up to 14.4 volts, voiding the warranty. So I’m ordering a new converter now. I highly recommend the Victron Smartshunt to monitor the battery. ... show more
