    • Assemble carefully to avoid spills
The media could not be loaded. This sprayer comes with several different spray heads but I only use a fan head when I do any spraying. With the fan head installed it put out a fairly wide fan with very good pressure and a nice fine dense spray that covers well. The capacity is 3.2 gallons but I like to just load in 2 gallons because that's around 17 pounds on my back and, especially in the heat, more than that wears me down. Warning: I put about a gallon of water into it for testing and when I slung it up onto my back I immediately got a soaking which was caused when the "screwcap" (which is supposed to seal where the "waterpipe" goes into the tank) came off. I replaced the screwcap and tried it again and, again, I got soaked. I discovered that the wide cap that threads directly onto the tank is tight after a mere 1/4 turn and was loosened by the clip that attached the strap to the tank. The instructions say "tighten the nut" and I thought the "nut" was the threaded cap but there is also a plastic nut adjacent to the cap and that needs to be tightened down onto the cap. (see video). The cap is then secured to the tank and did not come loose when hoisting the tank onto my back. Getting soaked with water was not a bad thing. Getting soaked with chemicals would be very bad. The other problem I noted occurred when I shortened the extension wand. I had extended it to see if I liked it longer and that worked fine but when I then retracted it to shorten it, water came out at the expansion tube adjusting nut. That required retightening that nut and in the process I got water on my hands. Again, that's ok if it's water but if chemicals are being used it would not be good to get them on your hands. I think the manufacturer could improve the sprayer simply by dispensing with the extension wand and replacing it with a fixed-length non-adjustable wand. Short of that, I would recommend setting the wand length, tightening the adjusting nut, and not changing it during spraying. ... show more

    • No more hand pumping for me.
We have a garden filled with crabgrass yet we’re trying to keep it organic and not use pesticides. Using a gallon of 30% cleaning vinegar concentrate, 1/3 gallon of water and some liquid detergent I knew our old gallon, hand pump can wasn’t going to work and I ordered the SideKing Battery Powered 3.2 Gallons Sprayer. I could mix all the ingredients in the large capacity tank and with the wand charged I was able to spray the entire garden in no time at all. No pumping, remixing, dripping or over pouring. I really like the battery powered wand. It comes with 5 different heads for any purpose you might have. The tank closes tightly but I did have some trouble attaching the hose to the tank as it didn’t seem to have enough threading to screw on securely but once on it was never a problem. I’ll be using this a lot during the summer in my garden and watering plants around the house. ... show more
