OEM battery hold-down got corroded by acid and broke. Perfect time to replace the old battery and get a better hold-down. Fit is perfect and it looks good. Not sure what the rubber grommets are for - they seem redundant in my application (2011 Toyota Tundra).

Nice looking product - would have gotten high marks, but the wing nut threads don't match the provided threaded rod. Both threads are good and will receive different threaded parts - they just don't match each other and are incompatible! Only option was return (no option to contact) - which didn't work for me because of time constraints. So, the wing nuts were replaced at the local hardware store because I needed the part & did not want to waste my time with waiting for a return - but it still wasted some time. ... show more

The mount bar is about 1 inch to short and the rods are not compatible with the OEM battery tray. To make it work I would have to drill holes in the battery tray, and replace the mount bar with a longer piece of metal, defeating the purpose of buying the battery hold down. I bought this item because Amazon says it's compatible with my vehicle. Although the kit does looks good in the picture it does not fit. I'm not going to blame the seller for the product not fitting, this is more of an amazon compatibility check issue. ... show more
