I bought these for a project car that doesnt get driven much and has a slow drain. This made the disconnecting process much easier. Not that loosening a bolt is hard, but if youve done it long enough you know the bolts tend to find their way into the lead on the standard connectors, get boogered up, and the connector itself gets stressed and cracks. These probably will over time, but again, more simple. Also good for projects and boats because of the accessory wire mounts. Cleans up the look a bit, and beats having a stack of eyelet connectors sandwiched behind the normal nut or bolt lol. Would recommend using locktite on those bolts and the main wire clamping bolts though. They seem like they will back out with vibration kinda easy. ... show more

Installation was easy, just two bolts with the included allen key. What is very useful is that the connectors have additional bolts that can be used to attach wires from aftermarket components without having to try to squeeze that extra cable in with the main power or ground cables. Looks like it should last, with its product materials. Have various washers available for lead connection fitting purposes. Only issue to report: tap and die thread cut/form spec is "off", a little - not miss-matched, but some fasteners seemed a bit tight when threaded into the tapped holes. QA problem? Worn out taps & dies? Also: Cam-Action clamp "serrated nut" seemed thread "loose fit" and it's "ny-lock" washer is too large ID that does not engage treaded clamp stem. All-in-all though, and with all stated above, both clamps work just fine, so far. I don't forsee a future problem. ... show more

    • Cheap and easy solution to battery connectivity issues

I have an older vehicle and my battery terminal connections were crap! They basically would move around while hitting bumps in the road and eventually not be snug on my battery anymore. This lead to issues on start up. I would constantly have to open the hood to readjust the connector. I got this to fix this problem, and it did just that. You can be afraid to work with wires if you are going to buy this though, Fair warning! It was easy enough to snip the old connectors off, then strip some of the wire-cover and get it into these new connectors. Just cut off the minimum you need to get off the old connectors, and it should in most cases work. Once I got the wires properly on the new connectors, it was super easy to mount, and adjust the quick release levers to be nice and snug. Since then I have not had connectivity issues. For me it is a bit overkill, as I this connector was actually designed for people who need to add extra connections to the battery. Each connector has about 2 more slots for wire (like if you were doing something with the sound system where you need a separate wire to the battery). Its cool that I can do that now, but I never will. All that was important is that it was nice and snug, and its easy to take on and off while servicing my vehicle. Well worth it to me. ... show more

The product seems great until you get your hands on them. Would be nice it they were thicker, and had larger screws on top. I snapped one of the connecting ears when I clamped it on the battery post. I snugged the connection pretty tight by hand, closed the lever and it snapped right off... So be careful tightening them up, seems you want just enough to keep the terminal from moving. Luckily I bought more than one. I wish there was a version of this that was actually heavy duty, that's what I was looking for. ... show more

Despite my cable not reaching the connection, which is not a problem with the item, it was very easy to install. The only tool needed was the Allen wrench they provide. Have recommended to several friends. Would definitely buy again.
