My daughter in law told me about dry shampooing. At the time I had very short hair and because it was so wash and wear I never tried it. Fast forward a couple of years and I’m attempting to grow out my hair. I have found that I really don’t need to wash my hair daily. Batiste Dry Shampoo gives my hair just the poof it needs to get another day or two out of my wet shampooing. I also like this swear activated type if you find yourself in a sweaty situation - like taking your grandkids to a Florida amusement park in the summer. I wish this came in a larger size. I can’t get enough of it. The smell is AMAZING. My bf told me my hair smelled so good lol I’ve tried so many different dry shampoos and you know what I always end up back with this brand. It’s just very affordable. I used to use the dark. This does leave a subtle white residue, but goes away when brushed through well. The smell is great. I really like this one. I like to put it on at night after I shower before bed.     • Works well, runs out fast
I’ll start with what I like: • It works very well! Especially right after washing and drying your hair (but it still does a pretty good job on day 2, 3 or even day 4 hair) • If your hair gets oily extremely fast (clean your brushes, babes!) then this dry shampoo could be a perfect fit for you. It was for me! • It smells very nice (although it can be pretty strong) • It lasts all day, as long as you’re not sweating like crazy for hours straight in which case a quick touch up as needed should do the trick! The potential negatives: • The can doesn’t last very long. It’s possible that I just use a ridiculous amount of this stuff, but if you plan on using it several times a week, be prepared to order 2-3 bottles at a time, at least once a month • It does create a white residue BUT if you run your hands through your hair and shake it around a bit, the white dissipates pretty quickly (I have colored hair that has been super dark, super light, everything in between and the white residue doesn’t stick around long regardless) Short version: Perfect if you only need it occasionally, smells great but might not be best for SUPER sensitive noses. If you use a lot of dry shampoo, then prepare to buy 2 at a time (after trying it out first of course) or maybe find something that comes in a bigger can. ... show more

This Batiste dry shampoo works great for keeping my hair fresh and odor-free, even on active days. With dark hair, I’ve found it’s best to brush it through or shake out my hair after application to avoid any residue. Although there’s a dark hair option, this one seems to work even better—and it blends well if you’re slightly greying like me. This dry shampoo is okay—it absorbs oil and adds some volume, but it doesn’t leave my hair feeling as fresh as I’d like. The scent is decent, though it fades quickly. While it does help on busy days, it doesn’t completely eliminate the greasy feeling, and it can leave a slight residue.
