  • Almost works too good... 7/10 recommend
I'm going to lead with the cons, because I know that's what you're looking for right now, but I also will list the pros so bear with me! CONS: -WILL TURN YOUR FINGERS BLACK, you're supposed to massage it in with you finger tips, and you will have to wash your hands twice to get it off, and your fingers will still feel weird. -SO HARD TO WASH OUT!!! I have a very hard time just moving my fingers through my hair while washing it after using this product, and I have super thin, pin straight, silky hair :/ -IT TAKES SO MUCH PRODUCT TO WORK WELL, if you're trying to just build a little volume then cool, but dry shampoo was literally invented to make oily hair not oily again, right? I don't have a lot of hair and it just takes so much spraying to make it look decent, let alone good, probably used one bottle less than 6 times before I realized it was getting low. -TAKES SHINE OUT OF HAIR, which I know it's probably a given considering exactly what it is, spray powder to soak up the oiliness in your hair, but it works so well that if you're like me with long, super thin, pin straight, silky hair, your roots will look dulled out compared to the ends of your hair. -IT MAKES YOUR HAIR GROSS, which I know this is probably a given also, your hair looks great don't get me wrong, but you can't run your fingers through your hair without getting black sh*t all over your hands, the feeling of it just makes me feel dirty, dry, dead, and crusty. It is so hard to manipulate and if you try to run a brush through it it's like trying to brush through hair spray. NOT FLOWY IN THE SLIGHTEST Now onto the good stuff: PROS: -SUPER CONVENIENT, it is really great to have when you're on day two no hair washing and it looks a little bit oily, you just spray it on your roots in sections and rub it in with your finger tips and your hair is no longer oily and you're ready to go. -GIVES SO MUCH VOLUME, I have super thin hair like I've mentioned before and this product just absolutely lifts my hair off of my head like MAGIC, it looks so voluminous, (Pro tip, spray in horizontal sections, vertically up your scalp behind your ears... SHAWTY!) also don't forget to get the upper back portion of your scalp, or the back of your head will be oily and lay flat while the rest is super full, I had to learn the hard way -_- -WORKS TOO GOOD, it works so well that it hides the oils to the point that I wont wash my hair for TOOOO long, because it doesn't look like it needs it lol, which is a pro because you shouldn't be washing your hair super often, but damn does it make it hard for me to stay on a regular hair washing routine haha. Then whenever you DO go to wash it out, it works so well it is DIFFICULT to get out, like I mentioned before #workstoogood -GREAT FOR STYLING, using it for it's original purpose aside, (oily hair), this stuff is AMAZING for just adding some volume to your roots, with curls, up-dos, braids, buns, you name it. It's like you just teased your hair, minus the knotting, it's like you added a hair piece, without pinning sponges to your scalp with 8,000 bobby pins that is going to fall out the first time you shift your head. perfecto! -PRETTY GOOD PRICE, you may disagree with me, "what? it's so cheap, for two???" well, yes. That's why I say pretty good price, but once you realize how much you'll go through in a short amount of time, you'll realize that 1.) I should just wash my hair, or, 2.) I should just go get hairspray. BUT BUT BUT, it IS multifunctional, oily hair fixed in 5 minutes when you're in a rush and don't have time to spend 20 minutes washing and conditioning, and another 10 to add product and blow dry, or not having to use hairspray that is like spray glue, and teasing your roots which is like intentionally giving yourself a matted scalp, and you can still have that voluminous, fluffy lightweight look. SO- pretty good price. OVERALL (finally right lol) - Everything has it's pros and cons for sure, this product is pretty balanced in them, for every bad thing I can think of, I can think of a really great thing too... Like I said it's a cheap, easy product that's super convenient to have in stock... 7/10 recommend, go ahead it's great, but works WAY too well. ... show more

  • Great for brunettes that need cover up
First of all I don’t know why the price varies so much on these depending on store, location and online. I’ve gotten one bottle for anywhere from $5.49-$10.99. This dry shampoo is great at absorbing oil and providing volume. BUT if you’re not looking to have color sprayed onto your scalp, then skip it. I actually buy it for this purpose-it’s great for those who have thinning roots or need a root cover up. The only downside is the color shows up pretty brown on dyed black hair. You could probably notice it in some lighting but not others, and it just looks like you have dark brown roots. Another downside is it’s pretty hard to blend into your edges sometimes if you’re spraying near there; it will randomly not stick to some spots once in a while and the closer to your face you get the less it sticks. If spraying on edges I recommend lightly patting it down with your finger to blend into your hair so you don’t rub it away. Also, the spray gets all over your part so you have to carefully rub it away with a makeup remover wipe or the point of a fine tooth/teasing comb to clear up your part so it doesn’t look like you're wearing a wig. I’ve seen in some reviews people say this spray stains countertops and everything-the only thing I’ve found it stains it light colored towels if you don’t thoroughly wash your hands before touching them. Wear a crappy shirt to be safe when spraying this (it will get on your shoulders & probably stain white clothes) but anything else it gets on you can just wipe it away. It does get all over my bathroom counter but it easily wipes away with just water. It usually washes completely away with shampoo in the shower. ... show more

  • Great dry shampoo for the price
I have dark brown hair. I’ve used the original formula for many years. Unfortunately, if you use too much, it creates a hazy residue. I decided to try the dark brown colored formula to avoid this white residue. It works great! The colored formula hid the white-ish residue in my dark. I have very oily hair that requires washing every day. I’m able to skip a day with this product. It is very absorbent and freshen up my hair between washes. The only reason I didn’t give this product five stars is because the dark colored formula does rub off on your hands. When I touch my hair, it gets under my nails and on my fingers throughout the day. ... show more

  • Love it!
I love this dry shampoo. As a very dark hair person, it's nice to have the color in there, instead of straight white.

  • Amazing Dry Shampoo-no flaky mess!
This stuff is phenomenal! I love that you don't have to deal with the white flakes from other dry shampoos. Works awesome!

  • It works
The product is great. It does work for oily hair as I'm one of them I would have to wash my hair every other day but after using this product I'm in love as it also hides my grey hair. I got one for the dark hair.

  • Not great
It works in that I spray it in my hair and then my hair doesn't look so greasy. But the smell is really awful. It's super perfumy and it doesn't dissipate over time, so it gives me a headache. It reminds me of when I was a preteen and I'd buy the super cheap boxed perfumes from like Big Lots. Just a really cheap, strong smell. If it had no smell, or something milder, I'd like it a whole lot more. Also, as a lot of other reviewers said, it leaves a brown residue. It washes off in brown water in the shower, and you end up with brown hands after you rub it into your hair. Other than that, I mean it does the job. It makes my hair look washed., But I tend to just leave it greasy or wash with regular shampoo to avoid the smell. ... show more
