Have to wipe the surfaces clean. No soap, cleaning stay, grade, etc for it to stick. Use rubbing alcohol. Will not stick to silicone caulk fyi. If you still want caulk it has to be very thin in the crack then apply this over where there isn’t caulk.

The reviews were pretty mixed in this, so I was prepared for disappointment. However, i was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to use and how effective it is. I'm very used to using regular caulk, but I needed to cover a sizable gap behind the sink of my dilapidated rental. This width of this was just enough to fit the bill. The one struggle I had was going around rounded corners on my sink: I got a passable fit, but not perfect. Would definitely buy again in future, if needed. Worked well for about a month then began to peel off. Appears it’s not as waterproof as the ad suggests unfortunately, but for the price point it’s possible for sure. Does leave a nice clean aesthetic look when applied though which is great in an apartment.

This caulk-tape was perfect for the task I was doing on my bathtub. I cleaned and prepped the surfaces I was going to put the tape on. The crease running down the length of the tape made it easy to fold and conform to the angle of the corner. I had to be very careful to align the tape fairly accurately to avoid having to reposition it. The adhesive is pretty much permanent so I only really had one attempt to get it right. Luckily it went on fairly even and looks really good. Time will tell how heat and moisture will affect the adhesion, but if I need to redo, I have plenty left from the roll I purchased. Some of the reviews had me a little nervous like this was going to be hard for me (a woman who is medium good at these types of things; capable but should probably leave it to someone else, like my husband). I bought this to put around the top of the shower pan in my living quarters trailer. It’s pretty thick but was essay to roll right along the edge. It appears to have stuck on there well. I did not try to reposition when I got a little crooked because it seems to me that would defeat the purpose and would have jeopardized how well it worked. You can hardly tell I got a little off anyways. That said, I guess I would say it’s forgiving if you don’t get it perfect! It is pretty thick so it doesn’t seem as discreet as regular caulking. Not that that matters. In terms of really sealing - TBD as this is in my living quarters which we do not shower in daily. ... show more

This is a great product so far! I love the clean lines and easy installation! I also have a few tips for installation. I bent the middle crease so that it would lay down evenly. Furthermore, I used a hair dryer on the tape during installation to warm-up my tub and toilet while activating the glue. During application, I kept smoothing the tape with the side of my hand to ensure adhesion. While installing I also went slow and did a small section at a time. I am not sure how this product will hold-up over time to use, but so far it is a nice finishing touch in my bathroom! ... show more

Once you get it on, it makes the bathroom look brand new. The adhesion is not the greatest and it's not easy to use around corners but maybe that's because I did not take my time.
