Received in Feb 2018. Liked that it was remote. Found that it tipped very easily. Remote was not great and had to tape it after a couple of months use... It went wild on golf course - stop did not function on remote or handle. Had to pull battery hookup to stop it while the wheels were spinning very fast. Lucky I was able to hold the cart and pull the connection at the same time. I bought it in Florida and took it home to Nova Scotia. Took it in to a service tech for Bat Caddy, and while he was very good, he could not find parts Canada - he ordered parts but Bat Caddy sent wrong part. He did talk to Bat Caddy and they offered to expedite shipping. Cost of repairs (still counting) $400+ (includes drop off and pick up to tech-hour travel each way). The extras were good but not worth the extra cost after just over one years use. Would not recommend for hilly course or a course with uneven terrain.     • A lot of good features but a few problems as well.

The cart is light and folds up well. It will fit in a Camry trunk along with clubs. Easy to set up but only after using a file on the center bracket. Power and traction are great. Top speed is great. The battery is light, powerful and well worth the money. The bad is that the cart will not track straight except on level surfaces. The slightest side slope will make the cart turn left or right in about fifteen feet. You must constantly be changing directions which would be no big deal except the cart drops to the lowest speed before it will turn which makes the motion down the fairway very jerky and experience annoying. Alternatively you can hold the remote in one hand and guide the cart with the other hand. This works well except the cart will just stop after about 40 seconds or so without a signal from the remote. No warning. No gradual slow down. It just stops abruptly right in front of you. Durability is still an open question at this point. ... show more

Don't waste your money. This cart is about as reliable as a 1964 Rambler. Everything on it is cheap and flimsy. I have had my X8R just over a year and have already replaced the control unit, power switch face plate, remote control and battery case which fortunately were all under warranty. What has not been covered by warranty is the score card holder which broke, the front tire which has already worn out, and the bolts and nuts that have fallen out and become lost during normal use. The cart is very tipsy and falls over easily, and the score card holder which is cheap plastic breaks when it hits the ground. The company does not seem to stand behind the product. Even though the score card holder broke while under warranty, the company said it wasn't covered. The gaskets at the rear wheels came out and the company's advice was to purchase silicone and seal them back in. The tires frequently come off the plastic wheels while using the cart and the company has no solution. I use the cart a lot but am wondering what will go next. It is truly the gift that keeps on giving - unfortunately it is to BatCaddy and not the owner. ... show more
