I didn't realize tongue hygiene was a thing, but after 36 years of blissfully ignorant tongue neglect, I developed bad breath. There was a constant bad taste in my mouth despite brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash twice a day. My dentist said I should brush my tongue, and once I started really looking, I noticed my tongue is sort of whitish and furry looking - the classic "coated tongue" that hours of image searches have revealed is my problem. But I gag uncontrollably and instantly whenever a toothbrush touches my tongue. So I ordered this tongue scraper. It's great! It's the perfect shape to gently clean the surface of the tongue, easy to hold, easy to clean, reusable forever, and it even looks nice in my toothbrush holder. I do gag a little bit, but using a mirror and good control of the device allows me to decide how far back to go. The first time I used this tongue scraper, I was amazed (horrified) at the gunk that had been lurking on my tongue. And my bad breath was better. The second time I used it, my bad breath was gone! No more bad taste in my mouth, no more chewing gum all day, no more self consciously keeping my distance from people I meet lest they smell my dirty secret. Instant results! My tongue still looks a bit white and furry, but I'm hopeful that this will improve in time. Kudos to the company for selling a great product that you only ever have to buy once, rather than a cheap "disposable" product that you have to keep buying and throwing away for no reason. I can't speak to the manufacturing process, but the project itself is an eco friendly idea, and the packaging is almost eco-friendly (compact, easily recyclable/compostable box, but with an unnecessary plastic film liner inside - if the liner was made of paper I'd be thrilled). Okay, okay, you got me! You dragged me in, dear Tongue Scraper enthusiasts! Who knew there was such a niche market for folks dedicated to tongue hygiene? It's like joining a secret society that's been hiding in plain sight. I purchased this "Tongue Scraper for Adults (2 Pack Variety + 2 Cases), Tongue Cleaner for Adults, Reduce Bad Breath, Stainless Steel" after seeing my wife pull a similar contraption out of her purse.
