    • It’s not impossible to assemble- actually really solidly made
Like everyone, I read the reviews about assembly and thought twice about buying. I planned a full day of time on a Saturday. The night before I got all the pieces out and read the instructions. My thought was it was well made and packaged very well. The instructions left a lot to be desired. they did try at least but they stink. All the parts and fasteners were in the box. I have a good aptitude for figuring out things and a lot of tools. Basic tools are very helpful, socket set, pliers, screwdrivers, just don’t rely on what they supply or it will be 5 times harder than necessary and frustrating. BTW, very little YouTube videos out there to help. For this bike, what you can find is not relevant. My advice, the bike is solid and worth the effort, but be sensible in your expectations of how long it will take. I took 4 hours, with breaks. I can do a second one now in 1 hour I bet. Some notes: — The hardest part to me was wrapping the chain properly. Study the picture for the most help of how it routes around and over the crank and rear gears. — The 1st gear is the largest gear sprocket. 7 th is the smallest. Nearing the end when you make final adjustments you’ll need to know this in order to set the chain de- railer into proper position. It’s not noted well where the adjustment screws are, but there’s a (+) screw and a (-) screw on the de railer. That’s the fine tune. — The tires will most likely be flat out of the box. That should be no surprise. — The instructions show a separate parts bag. That’s not correct. I found all fasteners were in the part to be attached. I just unscrewed them out, assembled the piece, then properly screwed them down. — NOTE, do not snug up all screws or bolts or nuts until all is assembled, only then tighten it all very well. — It’s not a $2,500 French touring bike. It is what it is and better than I expected for the price. Hope this helps. Instructions stink. Bike is good. I would buy again. ... show more

I'm towards the max recommended weight limit on this bike. I ordered the largest wheel width and my husband played around with the air in the tires. Works great. I will say learning to ride this bike is not intuitive there is a bit of learning to do with the double wheels in the back. I tried it out with my dog in the basket and it was sturdy enough for that. Also putting this together took my husband about 3 hrs. And the directions are garbage. But I did read the reviews first so my husband had extra tools ready. someone in the reviews left a very detailed review with tips for putting the bike together. Also the bike does fold but it's still bulky. I have a mini van so I can throw it in the back of my van. ... show more

    • Decent for the price but some issues

I have built many bikes from low $100's to many $1000's - I did not expect this frame/components to be great but hoped for something I could work with - you get what you pay for essentially and this is not much in the bike world $ wise. Box arrived somewhat beat up. Most of the parts were wrapped fairly well but several loose parts floating around the box when unpacked. Unlimitedly 3 parts missing and the bell was not functional (its $3). The right rear mounting channel on the frame was bent and the front chainring was also bent. The crank bearings and the front wheel bearings were over tightened and grinding. Rather than repack I straightened the bent parts and disassembled/reassembled the bearing issues and proceeded to assemble the bike. For the money it's ok. I would advise using a bike shop to assemble and roll with the issues. If your not experienced with bikes this could be a challenge but if your super handy give it a go. ... show more

I was surprised by the quality of this trike, all the parts were neatly packaged in the box, nothing was missing. The manual is not to accurate, so you’d need to know a bit about how bikes work to assemble it and it took me about 2 hours to do so. The trike works great and can be fitted in a trunk of the Outback with handlebar loosened and folded (we’ve got 20” size trike, the larger one probably wouldn’t fit).     • Basket is wider than you think!

I really like this trike!!! I didn't even try to put it together myself. I took it straight to the bike store and they put it together! Though it folds in half (pleasant surprise), between how wide the basket is and the handle bars and wheels/spokes got intertwined in putting it in the back of my SUV. This was a bummer because I was hoping to take it on the bike trail. If I had one suggestion, it would be to decrease the basket several inches in width! I love the ease of changing gears and that the brakes and gears are on the handles!! This is quite convenient. If it wasn't as wide in the basket, which would make it easier to travel, I would give it ALL 5 Stars!! The trike arrived very quickly. We had a few issues with the trike itself which could have been from packaging or shipping. Emailed customer service and got a response within 24 hrs! Jessica was very accomadating to our issues and resolved the problems quickly. The trike itself is great. Assembly of the trike wasn't the easiest thing & the manual shows more pictures than actual directions but if you take your time search some YouTube's you will get it. For the money this trike is a very good value & the customer service is top notch. Going uphill on any trike isn't easy. Rides smooth on paved as well as light gravel. It can turn pretty sharply without feeling like you are going tip over. We are thinking about purchasing a ebike kit which once complete will be well under the cost of an electric trike. We purchased the 24", 7 speed foldable model. Very pleased with the purchase! ... show more

I had to refuse this shipment because I injured my shoulder and could not ride this bike. Barbella customer service was (by text) very courteous, attentive and helpful. FedEx does not have live customer service so tracking had to be carefully watched in order to stop shipment while still at the warehouse hub. ... show more
