  • Works great on a 2018 Chevy Silverado 5.3L
Size: Pack of 1
I had a small leak on the driver side by the lower radiator. I did not realized there is no radiator cap on the 2018 Silverado. I placed the Bar's sealant in the overflow tank where you refill with engine dexcool coolant. Followed the instructions by idling for 15 to 20 minutes with heater on HIGH. Turned off the truck and let it cool down. Fill coolant to level. Drove around a bit and then kept an eye on the temperature and tested the heater on once in awhile (I live in Florida and it is in April). No issues. No more leaks. ... show more

  • Fixed my Heater Core small leak
Size: Pack of 1
The heater core in my 1995 Grand Cherokee has been seeping since 2000. I used this product in 2000 and it fixed the problem. Over the last 23 years with regular antifreeze flushing, the water pump started leaking. While replacing the water pump, the 20 year old radiator had old signs of leakage that this product had obviously sealed. I replaced the water pump, radiator and thermostat. After refilling with new antifreeze, the heater core started seeping and fogging up the windshield again. I purchased a new bottle of this product and only put in 3oz of the 16.9 and the leak was fixed. My plan was to add 3oz, drive for a few days and stop adding once it stopped fogging up the windshield. I already had some residual product in the system, so only wanted enough to stop the fogging. I suggest you do the same to avoid the issues others have had with too much product in the system which will cause additional issues. If you are adding coolant daily, replace the leaking item as this not a long term solution for these leaks. ... show more

  • easy to install
Size: Pack of 1
I used this on my older Pontiac grand prix sedan. I placed it in my radiator hoping it would seal a leak coming from my radiator. After a week of driving in town and just enough to prevent the car from getting to hot, I still noticed that the product was not sealing the leak to feel satisfying and safe. If it would have sealed the leak after two applications withing the first few days, I would have felt the seal was solved. I feel my older car was just in need of a new radiator and as good as this product may be, it just did not do it for my car. I feel better knowing I have a new radiator in my car, but this product may help your situation. You can't go wrong with a guarantee on the bottle....... ... show more

  • Made things worse
Size: Pack of 1
I have an old ranger with the 2.3 4 cylinder. The radiator developed a slow leak. It is an old work truck so I decided to try this before I sank more money in it. I would have never tried this on one of my newer vehicles. I read the reviews and saw many people had success. I also observed a fair number of problems, but decided it was worth the risk. I followed the instructions to the letter. This crap made things worse for sure. It did NOT stop my tiny little leak, but it did manage to gum up my heater core and my thermostat. My heat stopped working within 20 minutes of operation. Maybe some people have decent luck with this stuff. I must be one of the people that it backfires on. ... show more
