1980 Chevy K20 Custom Deluxe started having issues after putting EFI in. Sigh it's summer she should be on the road!! Very easy to set this up. Filled with mineral spirits with the handy little funnel. Found out the only flaw it doesn't reach battery to tailpipe on a 16-17ft truck. My husband ended up pulling his truck over and hooked it up to his battery. Turned it on and after a few min whisps of smoke began to come out a known leak in my exhaust. It did not use a lot of spirits we probably had it on for about 20-25 min. I was expecting smoke to come out from my headers. Nope 2 tiny tiny little holes up around the collector. Would have never found them without this machine. So headers are fine, known exhaust leak is an easy fix it's too far back to affect the EFI going to fix it anyway. The 2 problem holes of course I now have to take the exhaust back down weld get new gasket for collector augh! But at least this handy machine showed me the problem quickly and other than not being able to reach the length of the truck easily. ... show more

    • Real nice garage tool to have on hand
I already put my little smoke machine to use on my Range Rover and love it. I was chasing a lean fault code and I verified that I did not have any leaks in my Intake, Exhaust, and Fuel evap system. The only thing that I wasn't able to identify with the tests that I performed was a test of my actual fuel cap. It turned out that it was leaking, which was the cause of my Bank 2 Lean condition. Though I was not able to identify the cap being bad, I was able to save a ton of time and especially effort by being able to rule out other sources of vacuum leaks and/or exhaust leaks. The value for what it is is awesome. I highly recommend having one of these in your garage. It really does not take up much space and is extremely versatile with all of the given attachments. I would still be driving around with a repeating check engine light and blowing my time and money in the wrong areas if it wasn't for having this tool on hand. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. What it says comes in the box is not correct. I made a short video of what it actually comes with. Seems to work well on the first use. It's nice that it has an onboard compressor so I don't have to reduce the air pressure and also it's nice that I can hang it from the top of the hood. The handy flow valve shows me whether there's a leak or not. The rest of it is up to you to find It says it comes with a funnel but it did not come in the box. ... show more

I was about to pull the trigger on the $549 Harbor Freight smoke machine when I did my research and found this to be highly recommended. For less than half the money I figured it was worth a shot, and I'm very pleased that I bought it. It produces a ton of smoke and the built-in pump makes setup very easy.     • Makes smoke well, too high of pressure
This machine makes a lot of smoke which is always nice for hard to find evap leaks. The pressure seems to be too high though. Block off the hose and it maxes out at 14-15psi. Haven't had any issues with the pressure so far, but it seems too high.

Was going to go buy the new Icon one from Harbor Freight but saw some reviews on YouTube and I couldn't be happier with buying this one. Works great, thought it would come with the fluid but in the manual it says you can use johnson baby oil pink bottle so I grab one of those and it works great!
