My friend had recommended this highly and she was right! It cleaned my stove top and some pots that I had damaged with water/pasta water boiling itself dry. I put minimal elbow, grease and sweat equity into scrubbing, getting great results! She mentioned that some folks turn it into a paste for tough stains and dilute it in their own spray bottle for regular cleaning. I did do the paste for the one difficult pot. All of the pictures in my review are a single application of barkeep. I’m sure if I used it again, I might get even better results. Would highly recommend this product! ... show more

Hmmm ... not what I expected. Just purchased All Clad D5 stainless steel cookware and I'm learning to use it. I tried to clean off burnt oil from my frying pan with the BKF cleaner. Did nothing. Had to boil water in the pan, add 3 drops of Dawn soap and tsp baking soda to clean it off. Then used BKF to bring it back to life. That's when I saw the good results. I think it's meant as a polishing agent. However, the instructions does not say to use this for burnt on oil. I'm not that happy about how the powder comes out. Too much powder if you leave all the holes open. I suggest to cover the opening half way or you'll be breathing it in, which is not very pleasant or safe. ... show more

I had a burn butter dark stain on my all clad. I tried soaking it with dawn so many times, I tried “the pink stuff”, and the bar keeper SOFT CLEANSER - nothing worked. I read that this works better than the gold soft cleanser version. It’s hard to find and sold out many places. I had to pay double on Amazon, but it workkked! I wish I took a picture. I watched a YouTube video they said to make a bit of a paste and let it sit for a min, not longer because it can stain your pans, and the instructions say so too. I followed the instructions and it worked like a charm. My pot was even shiner than my other hand wash all clad set. I will be using this for stains and to add the shine back. ... show more

Bar Keepers discontinued a liquid stainless steel cleaner , the old liquid cleaner is/was much much more effective as a stainless cleaner !! Much Much better ! Why did Bar Keepers management turn this great product to powder ??? Weight ,, much lighter ,,cheaper to ship. In some instances easier to use in difficult situations. Also cheaper to make. Product ,,please remember BarKeepers Stainless is now one step above street dust ,,,not too gritty ,,,and you will use a lot ,,a lot of this powdered barf brew to get the job done.!!! In fairest to Amazon ..Amazon has better ,,,much better metal cleaners than this product --- I have Bar Keepers Stove Top cleaner that is a wonderful product and---it cleans metals fairly well.!!!! This Bar Keepers metal cooker cleaner is only fair ,,, can be good when used with vinegar . Also baking soda .Not a good over night soaker as it dries out. Bar keepers management needs a good polishing ala removal!! This is not an easy to use product ,,I read some nice comments but the old liquid Bar Keepers was/is far superior with a lot better results! ... show more
